Remember Diddy’s popular girl group Danity Kane from MTV’s hit reality show, Making The Band? Well, the ladies are rumored to be planning a reunion without their former hit-making manager. Yesterday TMZ spotted group members Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres and Dawn Richards heading to a lunch date in L.A. with a new manager, who’s supposedly helping them out with the reunion.

“So I hear you guys are trying to make things work,” the cameraman said to the ladies.

“We don’t try to do anything,” Shannon shot back.

When asked if they were getting back together, they simply responded, “We’re having lunch right now.” Just before they made their way into the restaurant the cameraman asked if they were working with Diddy, which prompted the ladies to release sarcastic chuckles.

“Who’s that?” the groups always-outspoken problem child, Aubrey O’Day asked before they disappeared into the restaurant.

If you recall, Diddy publicly announced plans to disband the group back in 2009 during a reunion special. Interestingly, DK’s fifth member, D.Woods, was not present during the lunch outing, which could be a possible sign that she will not be participating in the reunion, but sources tell TMZ that a reunion is definitely happening. It makes perfect that the ladies would want to reunite, they were super successful as a group, scoring two certified platinum albums.

Representatives on behalf of Diddy have yet to respond to talk of the reunion, but something tells us that an icky legal dispute is brewing.

Turn the page for footage of the ladies heading to lunch. Would you support Danity Kane if they were to reunite?

Just listened to “Damaged” a week or two ago and thought about how much I really liked them…so I’ll support them.

I’m soooo ready for it!!!! I love me some DK and so glad they are trying to make things work without that ninja Diddy!

I’m not really here for it… But I ain’t bout to stand in the way of them getting a check. Somebody will buy it… Not me tho. Too manufactured for my taste. I don’t really get down with anyone put together by reality television because it just isn’t organic to me. I understand this is some of these people’s only chance to be seen so they take it. I just gravitate more toward people that work from the ground up n the industry… Seems like they humbled more that way than winnin contests on TV. Not that the work isnt just as hard… Just not the same for me.

    I’m checking for them!

  • I hope they do get back together and continue to have success. I’m sick of Diddy killing the careers of all his artists.

Nah I don’t remember a popular girl group named Danity Kane. I do remember a slightly successful group by that name. Ain’t nobody checking for that reunion but them–kinda like the Braxton Sisters’ CD.

Hmmm speak for yourself. I know a lot of people that love them (including myself). They were trending on twitter last night & most were saying they were excited.

        I know I am

Same here! I loved them and thought Diddy was incredibly foolish to disband the ONE band that actually worked. None of his other groups managed to reach the success DK did and then you’re going to fire 3 out of the 5 people in the group? For what? I hope this is a lesson to all future musicians: never work with Diddy. He can’t do ish for you lol. I’ll be looking for this reunion and support them all the way. 🙂

Not! I will be one of the many who WILL be checking!

I’ll give them a chance, Diddy is a dream killer, I’m glad their attempting to do this without him, they’re talented, but hopefully they get with hot producers & even if they do pop, they need to make it genuine pop. not any of that bubblegum manufactured BS
