Pass Or Play: Emeli Sande’s Take On Being “Crazy In Love”
The soundtrack for The Great Gasby has received just a much shine as the actual movie but the reviews haven’t been much better.
So, let’s forget about Jay-Z’s “$100 Bill” and Beyoncé’s remake of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black.” Instead, let’s move on to a fresh new voice in the music industry who’s been making major noise.
Emeli Sandé is a Scottish soul singer whose biggest hit to date, “Next To Me,” has instantly made her a favorite among many music fans.
She recently took a big risk by remaking Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” for the Gatsby soundtrack. Other than the lyrics, the sound is completely different. Where Beyonce was very pop and R&B driven, Sandé’s version has more of a jazz and big band sound to it.
The music behind Sandé’s vocals was provided by the Bryan Ferry Orchestra and they sound awesome.
But the bigger question is: What do you think of Emeli’s vocals?
Check it out and let us know what you think? Also, are you an Emeli Sandé fan?
