Over ten years ago, in completely separate incidents, three Ohio women, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight mysteriously disappeared. All three of those women were found alive not far from their homes by Charles Ramsey this past Monday, ABC 10 reports.

The victims were allegedly held captive by three brothers. One brother happened to be Ramsey’s neighbor and although the women were being kept inside of a home in a residential area, neighbors say they never suspected a thing.

“My neighbor to have some big testicles to pull this off, bro. We see this dude everyday. I mean everyday. I’ve lived here a year. I barbecue with this dude. We eat ribs and what not and listen to salsa music. I had not a clue that the girl was in that house or that anybody else was in there against their will,” an animated Ramsey told ABC 10 of the suspect.

He went on to say that he received the shock of his life when he saw a frantic woman (Berry) trying to get out of his neighbor’s house.

“I was eating my McDonalds. I heard screaming, I come outside and see this girl going nuts trying to get out of a house. So I go on the porch and she says, ‘Help me get out. I’ve been in here a long time.’ I figured it was domestic violence dispute, so I opened the door, but we couldn’t get in that way. So we kicked the bottom and she came out with a little girl. She said, ‘Call 911. I’m Amanda Berry.’”

Once the police arrived on the scene, Amanda revealed that there were other women in the house as well.

“[Gina came out] about five minutes after the police got here. Amanda told the police ‘I ain’t the only one. It’s some more girls up in that house. So they [the police] went in there 30/40 deep and when they came out it was just astonishing,” Ramsey revealed.

Amanda Berry, who was found with a 6-year-old daughter, went missing in 2003 at 16 years old. Gina DeJesus went missing almost one year after Amanda. Gina was 14 and Michelle was 20 when they disappeared. So far three brothers have been arrested in connection to the kidnappings. One of the men suspected in the kidnappings is a 52-year-old bus driver.

Turn the page to watch Ramsey recount the details of his discovery, but we have to warn you- his delivery is rather amusing.

  • Jay Trevy

He deserves a medal for his actions! What a TRUE hero. I real life superman. Saved not one but 3 women

    • hollyw

I agree, he could’ve been caught and injured by the kidnapper(s) while trying to save that woman and her daughter. Need more like him.

    Wow…

  • hollyw

I’ve been talking about this story all day, it is simply amazing. It’s saddening, though, how only the Black news outlets are giving Mr. Ramsey the recognition he deserves, the major news outlets are minimizing his part, if mentioning him at all…

…I mean, you can see w/ his interview, that he is not the most eloquent of speakers lol…but he used no profanity and, considering the circumstances, I think his account should’ve sufficed. God bless ya, Ramsey!

    • Hey

That’s not true, he is all over the internet, huffington post, msn, cnn, yahoo, you name it. He truly deserves all the great accolades he is getting as well. People are even discussing raising some funds as a sign of appreciation. May God bless him

I see his interview is sweeping the internet now…but Yahoo! was the first mainstream article I read, which said “The 911 call that saved 3 women’s lives”, as if the girl would’ve made it out the house by herself, let alone called anybody, if it hadn’t been for the neighbors.

Plus, I just watched the CBS-NY 5 o’clock press conference, where the commish literally stated, “This GIRL is a hero…” for saving three lives… =| I’m sorry, it’s great his interview went viral, but I can’t help but be bothered by the fact that news stations aren’t giving him the title he deserves…*shrug* Hopefully, it’ll be better tmrrw.

    • bigdede

I was cracking up also but no matter how he acted, this man is a hero. But I can watch his interviews a thousand times.

    • Drew

Who got after me with a down-vote??? SMH

      • MLS2698

Looks like some miserable person went through almost all the comments and gave a down-vote. I guess they wished they had done the interview. * shrug *

  • NatashaDecemberBabyThomas

God bless that man for his heroic actions. He deserves a medal.

    • MLS2698

He deserves his own comedy show, too!
