For months we’ve been hearing about Rihanna’s much-anticipated documentary, which promised to offer a first-hand look at Rih Rih’s super publicized and harshly criticized 777 Tour. In case you missed it, 777 was a seven-day, seven-country tour headline by Rihanna. The 25-year-old self-proclaimed bad girl invited over 100 fans and members of the press to join her on the tour aboard her 777 jet. Although the trip sounds like a fun idea, reports came back that many passengers were miserable, sleep-deprived and hungry due to the tour’s taxing schedule.
The 777 documentary finally aired on Fox last night and it appears to have been a rather interesting trip.
“It was 150 press from 82 countries and 50 fans from around the world. It was all about really letting them see how she lives her life,” Roc Nation’s Jay Brown explained.
“We were all on the same plane together like one big tour. I was packing this morning I was laughing. Like, ‘You really did this?’ I just can’t wait. I’m just looking and I see a couple of my people. I know this is going to be the experience of a lifetime. It’s going to be unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. First stop: Mexico!” Rih Rih eagerly told the cameraman after pulling up to the airport.
Passengers appeared to be very content upon first boarding the plane as they marveled over the gifts found in their swag bags.
“Everybody look in their gift bags and look for the little cheap string. There’s a real diamond on there. You can never say you never had a diamond in your life,” Rih Rih told passengers over the plane’s loudspeaker.
And as you may have guessed, the alcohol was flowing freely. The “Diamonds” singer sashayed throughout the cabin offering fans Ace of Spade and other treats.
“I feel like I’m on Soul Plane. This is Soul Plane!” Jamal Edwards told one cameraman.
