Prepare To “Think Like A Man” Again: Sequel Gets Release Date And New (Unoriginal) Name
It was this month last year that Think Like A Man came out. With expectations all over the place, nobody knew what to expect (it’s a movie based off of Steve Harvey’s advice for goodness sake), but with such a large cast, we all hoped for the best. In the end of course, the movie beat expectations, got Steve Harvey a talk show, grossed more than $33 million during the opening weekend, going number one, and in the end, earned more than $100 million worldwide for a movie that only took $12 million to make. So you know what that means…sequel alert!
According to Shadow and Act, a sequel is in the works, and the title will be, Think Like A Man Too…how “fun.” Guess they took a cue from Tyler Perry and decided to keep it simple with “Too.” Anywho, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on May 30, 2014, and Will Packer is going to be behind the movie once again, as well as Steve Harvey of course as an executive producer.
The same writers are in the picture to make the storyline follow the lessons in Harvey’s book. But all I ask for the next movie is that they pass on all the over-the-top cameos they had in the last film (i.e., Chris Brown and a bunch of other singers who just happened to be in the ATL when the movie was shooting and decided to stop by). But otherwise, I’m sure it will be another hilarious and successful movie.
Are you excited? What do you hope for in the sequel?
