New dad T.J. Holmes is officially on diaper duty.

The former host of BET’s late-night talk show Don’t Sleep says he does his best to help his wife Marilee Fiebig with caring for their two-month-old daughter Sabine.

“I probably change more diapers than her because she breastfeeds and she has to do that,” Holmes told at the premiere of Free Angela. “So I do the thing that I can do and that’s change diapers.”

Awww, isn’t that sweet! Men don’t really like to help with diaper changes (it isn’t a woman’s favorite thing either) so it’s nice to see he’s become a pro at it. You can read the rest over on Essence.

BET gets on my nerves!!!! The targeted audience for Don’t Sleep IS asleep or going to sleep for work when the show aired. They did this on purpose so the ratings wouldn’t be great and then cancel the show. It was a bone thrown just to say “We told yall. “they” don’t want positive programming.” Put it on between 8:00 and 10:00 and the ratings would have been through the roof.

So happy for T.J. and his family wishing that someone other BET will reconize his talents I say he should make a run for CNN again or head on over to MSNBC or even better find an anchor spot at some major Network like ABC,CBS,or NBC and of course FOX wishing you the best T.J.

I was wondering what happened to “Don’t Sleep”, I Google that show the other day to see if it was really cancelled and I liked that show, but on the wrong network. Plus when my hubby and I had our 4 kids, 3 girls and one boy, he changed their diapers too, that’s what a real father does. Gosh I’v had such a crush on TJ since 2006 when he started on CNN weekend mornings.

Love the way your article very subtly calls him the FORMER HOST. BET hadn’t answered the question of what happened to Don’t Sleep at all. It just disappeared from TV.
