Stop, collaborate and listen: could it be that Vanilla Ice’s style was ahead of time? We know, but just hear us out on this one. GQ calls the ’90s guilty pleasure hip-hop’s best kept style secret, and we can totally understand why the game has kept this one mum. But lyrics aside (wax a chump like a candle?), he did sport some flashy fashion. True, he wasn’t the only one taking fashion risks. But today’s hottest in the game like A$AP Rocky aren’t necessarily wearing their clothing backward like Kris Kross (yet!), or have fully given in to MC Hammer’s genie pants. So we might have to give it to Vanilla Ice after all. Too cold.
