The guys over at TMZ recently caught up with legendery basketball icon Magic Johnson’s 20-year-old son, Earvin Johnson III as he made his way down the Sunset Strip and he was not alone. He proudly strolled down the crowded strip hand-in-hand with his boyfriend. EJ III chatted it up with gossip site for a bit as they attempted to pick him for information about about his Dad’s new baseball team, the L.A. Dodgers and the Dodgers Stadium revamp project.

“Sir, I really wish I could help you, but I have no inside information. I’m just hoping and praying like the rest of us,” he told his interviewer.

“I caught a sneak peek of the blueprint, but I’m waiting for the opening game on Monday. I’m gonna wait for the grand opening,” he said of the stadium’s revamp.

“A lot of things were terrible [about the former stadium], but I’m sure it’s going to look beautiful and amazing, so we’ll see,” expressed EJ.

TMZ later caught up with Magic, who expressed how proud he was of his baby boy, who is actually a student at New York University.

“Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way.”

“We’re very proud of him,” said Papa Johnson.

EJ is the first child born to Magic and Cookie and one of Magic’s three children. One child, Andre is from a previous relationship and Elisa was adopted by Magic and Cookie back in 1995.

Look at little Earvin all grown up!

Of course we know being gay is abomination before the Lord and it doesn’t matter who agrees or not. Magic and Cookie ought to be ashamed of themselves cosigning their son with this ludicrous behavior. For Gods sake take him to church and have hands laid on him for deliverance and pray to God Almighty to deliver him from this. What a haute mess..

    • Janeben

A good idea but I doubt it would work. That “boy” is a lost cause. He has a PhD in that lifestyle.

  • funny

he is dressing the way he wants and couldn’t give a damn about anyone’s opinion. just because some people decide to express themselves in certain ways doesn’t mean they are trying to throw their personal life at you. they may just be eccentric. not everyone’s calling is to blend in and they shouldn’t strive to blend if it doesn’t come natural to you. they aren’t trying to throw nothing at you. they might just have a certain sense of style that they are able to express because they have the confidence and the privilege to not worry about the opinions of others. there is nothing wrong with you disliking something because it is not your personal style but when it gets to the point of actual offense and annoyance that is displayed in some of these comments, im like…….calm down. why are you so pressed.

  • mik bailey

Respect Magic and Cookie, but their son looks a HOT mess! And what has he done to be proud of; did he graduate high school, college, where is he working, etc. ?!

    • kierah

He did graduate HS and he is a student at NYU. Shouldn’t they be proud?

  • kim k

The world is coming 2 an end. Its all in the bible, revelations precisely.
People don’t read the bible anymore. Pls pray 4 yourselves.

  • LilScrappy_w/his_irrelevant_az

    Oh the extrativity….

  • bits

you know its really sad to see so many people bashing a young man just because of his sexual orientation and how he dresses. has it ever dawned on anyone that some gay folks dress other than their gender classification because it makes them feel good and has absolutely nothing to do with what other people think or feel? i mean seriously. and im sure most of the people making the horrible comments call themselves “educated” . *News flash* people have the right to love who they want to love and have sex with. whether they were born that way or chose to live that way or not. either way its nobody’s damn business.

  • TRUTH IS

    G.A.Y. – got AIDS yet?
So gay – he can put a lisp in “crackers”
So gay – he makes Perez Hilton look straight
Not only did he come out, he broke down the closet doors and took the hinges off….lmfarto

  • funny

i can’t handle the ignorance in these comments. im hoping there aren’t more thumbs downs because people don’t want to register a username. “why do g*y men have to wear women’s clothing? why are they so extra? why do they act so flamboyant?” um, why are you so mad? what is wrong with them wearing clothes that they like? have you heard of self-expression? and did you guys just imply that there is a correlation between homosexuality and molestation? i swear gender/sexuality studies should be a requirement in schools. the ignorance is too real. i bet most of you even have college degrees smh.

    • bits

i totally agree. these comments are just astonishing for the year 2013! these statements are beyond idiotic. and i bet these same folks would be the cause of their own kids committing suicide because they can’t get over what makes them feel uncomfortable. and the black community should know better than any other they danger in discriminating against a group of people because who they are. its a damn shame.

  • Guestvirgo

What is wrong with just being a man? The definition of a gay man is a man who is attracted to other men, not a man who acts like what he thinks a woman is and becomes a flaming jerk!! Just saying!!!

  • Keisha Samoht

Andre Leon Talley realness, gone boy. Wish i could wear them shoes…

  • chanela

    backcourt violation!!

  • chanela

lawd hammercy they fed that boy GOOD!

  • Akiko

He is so flamboyant. I’ve never understood why gay men take on this kind of persona and talk in a high pitched voice.

    • chanela

it’s kinda fake to me. i see men who have been talking with deep voices their whole life but as soon as they come out the closet then they act like a stereotypical gay man. why go towards stereotypes? why not just be how you were before, except liking men?

      • Akiko

I don’t think it is fake. I think that when they were not open with their sexuality they had to hide everything about them that would make people think they were gay. Either way it is annoying as heck.

  • Harlow Montreese

Well he’s a grown man and he can live his life the way he wants to, it’s great that his parents support their son and his lifestyle. Who are we human beings to judge him? IDC if I get thumbs down, I have friends and family who are part of the LGBT community and I will support them, my parents taught me not to judge people based on race, religion, disability or s3xual orientation.

  • FromUR2UB

I guess he figured he may as well go all the way and wear the skins too. What is that, yak?

  • jjac401

Somebody needs to pray for him because he is doing way too much! He is a big hot mess with all of that extra cutting up!

    • Akiko

Yes, because prayer will make him not be who he is.

      • jjac401

The gay is all good, but the flamboyant stuff is way over the top. He could relax – just a little bit.

  • LALANI

Does anyone else think that it is ironic that Magic Johnson has HIV (or had – not sure what money can do with an incurable disease, js) and his son is gay?

    • Jaci

Not really. Plenty of people are HIV and their kids are not gay. And Magic still has HIV it is just not traceable anymore. Does not mean he is cured. Money or not.

    • Akiko

There is no irony here. Magic Johnson having HIV has nothing to do with his son being gay, because otherwise BOTH of his sons would be gay.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001778961958 Nikki Pablo

yes its very weird, maybe magic johnson was sleeping with trannys or Bq

  • maggie

All these gay black boys! What do people think is the outcome of this?

    • Beejcee

I wonder if it could be related to child molestation? I also wonder if there has been any research on it?

      • http://www.facebook.com/Mizzblue3333 Casaundra Blue

Beejcee, The statistics show that most homosexual men have been molested. Although they say it’s not related, only 1% of gay men have NOT been molested as children. That should tell you that—most boys who are molested will struggle with their manhood. The reason I say struggle, is because: The same men that are homophobic (or extremely masculine) are struggling with it too—Just on the “down low.”

        • Beejcee

          Thank you for this information.

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001778961958 Nikki Pablo

yes i agree i have a lot of gay and transexual friends and i can tell u some stories of the men whos masculine whpo are pillow biters and have wives, girlfriends, baby mamas, etc

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001778961958 Nikki Pablo

i wonder that also i believe it has a lot to do with it

    • http://twitter.com/EtotheVtotheE eve

i’m not sure of the outcome, but the reason for this may have something to do with the fact that a high percentage of Black men are abandoning their own children. when a boy doesn’t know the father it took to make him, he has a God-given yearning for the male attention he was supposed to get from his father. what isn’t God-given though is his decision to get that yearning met by other men sexually. what isn’t God-given is moms who refuse to put responsible men in their sons’ life so he’ll know what manhood is if his dad is a deadbeat. what isn’t God-given is the reality that predators prey on such boys, implant seeds, and have the boy grow up thinking he was born that way.

      • Akiko

If ‘god’ makes g*y men and boys yearn for male attention then ‘he’ could just as easily make that not so, so why hasn’t ‘he’?

People ARE born g*y or l*sbian.

        • TRUTH IS

          nope…or the butt h0le would hv been a vagina….

          • LilScrappy_w/his_irrelevant_az

            Thank you…

          • Janeben

            Exactly. LOL.

        • sabrina

It hasn’t been proven that people are indeed born gay/lesbian, so you can’t state that as fact…especially when a lot of gay people admit that they were molested when they were younger, as mentioned above. A child’s environment can definitely be the determining factor as opposed to them being born that way.

          • Akiko

I didn’t state it as a fact. It is my opinion, but most likely it is true. Has it been proven that people are not born g*y? I don’t think it has, so you can’t state that as a fact. It was mentioned above but that doesn’t make it correct. How do you explain how people who were not m*lested and are g*y or l*sbian? Did your environment influence your sexuality? Did you choose to be heteros*xual?

            • sabrina

It seemed like you were stating it as fact using definitive language and format (“People ARE born gay…”) I actually didn’t state environmental influence as fact though but more of an alternate possibility, which is why I said a child’s environment “can definitely” be a determining factor, instead of “is definitely/most definitely” etc. The point is, we just don’t know for sure either way.

              • Akiko

How do you explain how people who were not m*lested and are g*y or l*sbian?
Did your environment influence your sexuality?
Did you choose to be heteros*xual?

        • Blueberry01

I’ve always struggled with this argument. If people are “born gay”, how do you explain people who claim to be bisexual? I think your environment — especially how (or if) you formed relationships with the opposite sex early in life — play a significant role?

          • Akiko

People are born b*sexual just as people are born g*y or l*sbian. Did your relationships with the men in your environment lead to you deciding to be a straight woman?

      • Chey

How do you know what is God given and what is not?

  • 3880

Its a derivative if pig latin called pigs azz.

the devil is busy…i hate when gay men dress in women clothes i think its too much extraness for no reason….. you have the body of a man so wear what is made for you….idc if you guys bash me for my view on the matter either…what is going in Hollywood?

    • Beejcee

I agree. Those guys on RHOA make me so mad for wearing heels, womens blouses and carrying purses. I am not homophobic, I can’t stand to see men in womens clothing because they are not made to fit them. Get seamstress and put down the purses and heels.

      • TRUTH IS

Am not homophobic…they just heterophobic…lol….we havent seen anything yet…sit back and watch

    • Akiko

This has nothing to do with a ‘devil’.

i’m sorry, but I am also not okay with those men wearing pink heels and bright red matte lipstick , fake eyelashes, carrying large handbags. lord.

      • bits

really? and how does them dressing like that directly effect you personally?

        • http://www.facebook.com/minkysmom82 Alexis Morris

how the f am I supposed to take some man serious sitting up there with red lipstick on his mouth? I dont give a damn how ‘progressive’ people are supposed to be, that is an abomination and it’s ugly as all get out. all the stilettos and lipstick and clutch bags with a blatant man face sitting up on top of it is ridiculous. At least be like ru paul and go all the way!

          • mik bailey

And they only put on television to make black people look more crazy than we already do. Hope the show is canceled soon.

        • Drew Smith

          “Affect.” Effect is a noun.

    • bits

the only devil thats busy is you. really? you have a lot of nerve speaking about the devil and then in the same breath saying you “hate” something based on someone eles choices that have nothing to do with you. if you hate it so much let me let you in on a little secret you are gonna have a hard time living something called life because gay people have been here since the beginning of time and they ain’t going no where. so you can fester in your hate. life goes on.

          • TRUTH IS

You still hung up huh…my dialect and accent are unique and differenciates me from immigrants from other countries. You are the only one with a problem with it. I wonder what the native indians would say about everybody else?! At least I have somewhere to go when chit hits the fan! Deedeedee

            • Drew Smith

Why wait until then to go live in paradise?

          • TRUTH IS

How is that comment relevant? Ask your foreparents how much they sold their goats for to come here….or were they forced to come here…either way….it’s not anybody’s but the natives.
