This article seems pointless. I don’t see anything wrong with most of the comments.

  • Of course there are always exceptions, but Jill Scott is pretty much on point. Needing help isn’t a sign of weakness….it means you’re wise enough to know you can’t handle it all on your own.

Sorry Jill, ur point of view is only true for some. You can raise a child alone, its hard true, but not impossible. My dad passed away when I was 5 my bro was 12. My mom did a hell of a job. I can count the # of times I had an outside babysitter on one hand. We both graduated high school and went to college. We are both homeowners with our own just as mom taught us. Pray ev’ nite, have ya butt in church on Sunday. I have a 12 year old son who does wonderfully at school and at home (most of the time) I raise him alone his dad was sub par (my bad)lol. Its hard at times, but definitely possible.

I only feel dumb for giving y’all hits for this reach of an article. Nobody said anything that even remotely raised an eyebrow for me.

I don’t think Jill or Kim said anything wrong. I also agree with Tyrese and Nick.

    • As a woman I flinched a bit at Tyrese’s quote, but he is on point. Like the old folk say,”it’s tight, but it’s right!”

I understand what Jill Scott is saying. I’m not a mother but I don’t know any mothers raising children with absolutely no one’s help. It does take a village to raise a child. Also, Porsha Stewart’s comment wasn’t that bad to me either. I think MN and other people just took some of these comments wrong.

  • Don’t Plagarize

It’s in your best interest to completely stop honoring the desires of the person pushing you. You plagarized for enough years. Completely back off.

    • Stop It

They have begun to plagarize quite often on this site. I’ve never seen this article before bu they’re 3 articles that I commented on in the past few weeks that I definitely saw other places and just reworded slightly here.
