A college campus, library, or your employer’s personal home are likely surroundings you may find yourself in as a research assistant. They are hired for their knowledge and interest in a certain topic to do as much research for a person within a contracted period of time. This “person” could be a college professor, an author, or even ghostwriter. The main objective is to help through researching, which includes many hours of reading and analyzing. What’s good about this job is that you are mainly there to provide the task of sifting, finding, and gathering. It can be mind-numbing, but if you are a fan of the subject, you will love it. No to workplace politics. Yes to higher learning.
