Bow Down: Beyonce Teases With New Music And Puts All Other Singers In Their Place!

March 17, 2013  |

Well, if the new music is any indication, the rest of the year is about to be a wrap for any and all other female pop and r&b singers. Several seats is what they’ll all need to take.

The internet is on fire right now as Beyonce’s team just dropped what seems to be a teaser of two songs, “Bow Down” and a chopped and screwed joint, “I Been On.”

Where we all need to focus is on “Bow Down.” This is not your typical Beyonce. This is gum popping, hair patting, gold tooth having Beyonce. Ratchet, even.

The lyrics are not humble and has a few words for everyone:

“I know when you were little girls/ You dreamt of being in my world/ Don’t forget it, don’t forget it/Respect that/ Bow down b**ches/I took some time to live my life/But don’t think I’m just his little wife/Don’t get it twisted, get it twisted/This my s**t/Bow Down, b**ches…”

Well, now.  There’s not much more to say than that. Sure, Beyonce probably curses in her personal life and has been known to slip a couple in her songs but this one is…a lot.  No word on whether or not this is the full length version or if it will be an intro/interlude.  Produced by Hit Boy (he’s worked a lot with Jay-Z), “Bow Down” might be a sample of what’s to come when the album is released.

Check it out!

This is what happens when Beyonce actually writes her own songs and music. For years, she’s been stealing songs and claiming them as her own…now nobody good wants to work with her… so she’s working with these guys who couldn’t produce a hit record if their lives depended on it. Karma is about to pop this girl in the back of her lace-front wig.

  • Sorry Beyonce!
The only entity I will bow down to is The Lord God Almighty! Thank you very much!

  • Carmen

I am really sick of this heifer now.She is so manufactured and plastic. Its time to pick matthew back up as a manager ASAP!

  • Chassie

wonder where my girl kelly rowland fits here…

  • Sagittarius81

I STILL would rather bow down to Jesus, the beats and the profanity ain’t cutting it for me, next!

  • Gimmeabreak78

This is something I would expect from a Rihanna, or a Love & Hip Hop artist. Hasn’t Beyoncé moved beyond this at this point in her career?

  • bluekissess

I was going to comment but it’s to much evil and craziness in this forum. One comment said she’s ghetto in her music (what does that mean?), then some question her pregnancy and I can probably mistake a handful of commenters about their guts I mean “buns in the oven. They judge her motherhood and I’m sure a few has a dirty diaper baby waiting to get their diaper changed as you sit on the computer displaying your hate for her. I don’t get black women and I’m black I’m sure it’s white women who do it but I’m not talking about them. I’m disappointed in MN. One minute you write a long article about hate and positivity but open the flood gates for people to talk negative.

  • Fire

For someone who spoke so much gospel back in the day, she sure seems to have forgotten the teachings of the Bible! Then again, I saw this coming when “Soldier” dropped. Talk about hood anthem…

  • I Ain’t scared of you!

It’s Flippin’Weird man… i like the beginning but then she goes all drunk on me talking about ” Yyeeaahh I remember having them dookie braids, hammer pants ts and whatnot.. hhhaaahhaa ya’ll still gonna cop my album..” Haha hilarious!!

    • MLS2698

    • Keisha Samoht

lol @ K. michelle. She dont need THAT much

    • lea

      chrisette michele too!!!

      • Chassie

Chrisette is my favorite singer besides Amy Winehouse (R.I.P.) these days

    • Alicia keys, Keyshia Cole, Jill Scott, India Arie, Ledisi, Estelle, Emeli Sande, the list could go on…

    • Sagittarius81

Erykah Badu, India. Arie, Marsha Ambrosius, and K. Michelle needs at least 1500 hours of etiquette training than 400.

  • hollyw

Oh, no need to get upset at Bey, all! It’s not her! Psssh it ain’t even Sasha Fierce…

    Introducing Tewanna Ferocious!!

    aka MS. Ratchet –_____–

  • Mireya

Beyoncé is really trying way too stay relevant. All of these crazy pics on instagram trying to be ratchet, etc is just too much! One minute she’s having dinner with the Obama’s, and taking sweet pics with Baby Blu Ivy, then she’s all over Instagram with these random photos and now this crazy song?! Sometimes it’s best to just stop while you’re still on top, so that everyone can remember you as the great artist that you were. The latest ablums weren’t as great as before. I think she sees how Rihanna is getting paid and she wants to do the same, but you can’t start being ratchet after playing this good girl role her whole career thus far. Yes Sasha Fierce was her being somewhat edgy but I don’t think she can go any further than that without it looking weird.

  • Miss Moore

Dreadful, but I’m sure the stans will eat it up

  • X

    No. Just no.

  • Just saying!!

Listening to this convinces me I need to put my talent out there IMMEDIATELY…we need more authenticity and raw talent in the music industry. People are too concerned with making hits to care about making timeless music.

  • Just saying!!

Hmmmm….didn’t she just have a baby?

  • Lulu012

i just hope this is satirical because of the way people worship her…if not…

  • Yurhairkeepchngn?Cusitaintmine

And who does this chick think she is talking about bow down? God? Girl get yo life!

  • Yurhairkeepchngn?Cusitaintmine

But didn’t just a few years ago she said she would never curse in her music?

    • MLS2698

I can see why she can deal with a man who used the word b*tch……..she uses it too!

  • Jazmine

Absolutely terrible! She should have left the chopped and screwed music to Ciara like 5 years ago and the obsessive profanity and bad girl talk to Rihanna.

  • Nina

Interracial women dating?? Black women looking for white men??? Black women loving white
men???_______blackwhiteplanet.c0m_______is the #1 black women white men dating site. No one night stand. serious relationship

  • FromUR2UB

I do get her frustration, but ignoring people was ticking them off more.

  • Kels

One thing I can say is Mathew was very hard on Beyonce and sheltered her in a way where she didn’t have yes peopl around her and it helped her career. I am not sure if that part was missed but with the direction her music is going now is so self obsorbed. That’s not a good thing. Those producers are feeding her bullish music and no one around her is telling her its not good. Yes I am sure she has a lot to say but this isn’t the way to say it.. Make hits. Win your awards and that alone will shut people up.. She better give her dad a call and get him back on her team.. I Miss the old Beyonce

  • Sagittarius81

Sorry, I only bow. down to God, that is all.

  • Meyaka

This is weak, when you are confident in your talent and abilities you
don’t deliver this piece of crap, You mastermind a contemporary effort
to rival all others, that’s how you shut down critics. Beyonce is an
okay entertainer in a pool a frankly weak talent, she is the best of the
average and has been going to that since the beginning and now that the
one ghetto trick pony has exhausted every way to do the same thing over
and over she resort to this, BOO GIRL BOO.

    • That’s what I’m saying. I don’t hate her, but I’ve just never understood what makes her so entertaining on stage. She has gotten better with her singing over the years, but this song belongs in the trash.

  • Meyaka

Brought to you by the creator of many ghetto anthems since 2001, You all better bow down to your hood queen.

    • Taj

And finding her life starts with her opening up a book and getting her diploma. . . not another trip to Africa.

    • lea

      hahaha …flatline!!!!

  • Taj

“”I know when you were little girls/ You dreamt of being in my world/””

No Bey, I’m fairly certain it hasn’t been EVERY girl’s dream to sing half-naked on stage while gyrating their hips. . so don’t YOU get it twisted.

  • Rosetta’s Stoned

NO NO NO. I dont like ratchet coming from Beyonce. I don’t like the way she sounds when she curses. NO. leave the ratchet, bad girl talk to Rihanna. That’s her image not yours.

  • unque43

Love Beyonce, but no to this! To think she not long ago performed at the White House. I totaly agree with the comment made by T. This is not the way to deal with haters. You humble yourself. You know you good you ain’t got to go this route.

  • applesauce585

“Beyonce, Bey, Mrs. Carter…. have a seat any seat, just sit down!” lol

  • mac

LOL I don’t care for the song, but it’s nice to see her get out of character and have a little flare. And put folks in their place. (I’m looking at you Miss Keri)

It’s funny. People complain she’s too prim and perfect and calculated, then when she takes the gloves off, y’all still mad lol.

    • PREACH!

    • Just saying!!

It’s not people complaining about her being “perfect” as much as it is always putting on an act or a “gimmick” if you will. The little miss perfect act is no more real than this hoodrat act she’s putting on now. She’s just trying too hard to impress people instead of just being herself.

      • mac

lol seeing as how you don’t know her, I’m curious as to how you, or any one of us would know if she’s “being herself”.

She acts prim and proper, then she’s too perfect and “unrelatable”. She puts out a song like this, then she’s “trying too hard” and needs to stick with the same image y’all shade her for. If she was to start “being herself”, I’m sure somehow that would become an issue as well.

The truth of the matter is, some of you cannot be won over and will criticize her no matter what she does. Let’s call a spade a spade.

    • Chey

Beyonce is not in any position to be putting anyone in “their place”. She’s a human being just like the rest of us ol regulars. Her ish stinks too.

      • mac

excuse me while I look for the part where I insinuated she wasn’t human.

    • Mireya

I don’t see the reason to put folks in their place, everyone is entitled to their opinion, you will never get everyone’s approval. Silence is better, as other people said, just do you!!

    • IllyPhilly

Put somebody in their place? Keri is a songwriter, a person with a talent that B will never have. She needs to go back to the robotic science lab and have somebody reprogram her.

  • She really doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone. She can sellout concerts without new material. She’s trying way to hard to be hood. If this is any indication of what the album will be like then, she better be prepared for sales less than 4. Because 4 under performed and not because the album was leaked early. I know the hive is going to come for my head, but I know that they’re disappointed.

    • pretty1908

You aren’t lying…I listened to this and I was like , what? Is this what music has become today? It all about sex, clubbing, im the best to ever do it, F the hater, the proverbal love song, and more sex. I can’t imagine any of the great, Anita, Whitney, Aretha, Patti, Chaka, Tina, or Gladys ever publicly being this haughty by asking their peers and crtitics to bow down. I will wait for the next single, because this is trash. I rather listen to body party, smh lol

  • Crazyco

Why is she OBSESSED with her critics (giggles) ? What do her fans expect from her ? What do they like ?

I like her old music, and haven’t really been into her music since probably bday. She needs to bring it now or never ! Funny how a few stans & Oprah blowing smoke can make you act. She hasn’t done numbers to back it up in years. I guess these are her latest efforts. The thing is more and more people are over her. The smart thing to do is call Matthew * shrug * #wwmd

  • Pride precedes destruction; an arrogant spirit appears before a fall. Proverbs 16:18.
She’s too conceited, and for what. She’s not that smart or talented to me. She’s bound to fall soon.

    • MLS2698

    • Lola

Her & her husband are too arrogant to truly acknowledge Godly power. They are so caught up in their own hype. The Bible speaks only truth, and because of their arrogance and pride, I feel sorry for them when the bottom falls out.

    • IllyPhilly

  • What The Hell Ever

I’m a fan of her music, but not this song. I don’t like the beat/music. I could care less about the lyrics.

  • JaneDoe

This crap has the Dream written all over it.. I’ll pass

    • You mean the nightmare, because that guy is far from a dream.

    • Trisha_B

Oh no not the dream. That man makes amazing songs, some of beys biggest hits like Dance for you. This sounds nothing like the dreams work.

      • Kels

Written and produced by the Dream

        • Trisha_B

It was produced by Hit Boy, not the Dream. The man is a jerk, but i wouldn’t disrespect his craft w/ this ish lol.

  • hollyw

Diva: Part 2. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. I’ve been on Beyonce since the beginning but it’s getting harder to stick w/ her through the gradual transformation towards an obvious commercialized “ghetto-ness” that she was just not raised on…I mean, you seriously got the ring frm a thug, and just left EVERYTHING you know?? Didn’t half yo songs used to be about God and respect lol??? I can’t.

Leave this ish to Rihanna; you can’t both be ‘the reigning Queen’ and the bad chick. Grow up and keep the class.

    • COULD NOT HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF! Once again, I suggest B. put in an emergency call to Daddy Matthew. Things have gone just plain awry since she got rid of him. When he was involved, B.’s albums were worth listening to. Since then, not so much.

      • hollyw

Right?! She should be influence’s HIS(Jay’s) music; not the otha way around!

    • Wow

I don’t think this is her single, it’s two snippets. It sounds more like an ish talking track to get people fired up, especially the second half of the song. It’s definitely not the Bey we’re used to.

      • hollyw

I can see that. I don’t think this song’s for all of her fanbase, though; I feel like she keeps more and more trying to cater to her most ratchet of fans and/or gain more street cred, which is completely unnecessary. Frankly, I just think she’s getting too old for this kind of music…like others have already mentioned, this is a song written for Rhi, not just b/c of her edge, but her AGE! lol

  • Chassie

sigh, I’m gonna be honest Bey, if this was in Rihanna’s voice, I might be jamming to it. I expect better from you. I thought you were a grown woman, my mistake.

    • I don’t like hearing this kind of music from any artist, Rihanna included. I don’t understand the point of it. It’s all stupid to me.

  • Trisha_B

Trash! Didnt think this was the sound she was gonna go for. I thought she would continue on the path of mature music being being that shes a Mother now. But even if she was talking about something else, the beat & how shes singing sounds like a leftover from her dangerously in love days. Just doesnt sound good. If thats the sound shes going for for this album, im not looking forward to it lol. Im sorry stans.

  • Hate it. Bey needs a new sound because this isn’t kicking it. #disappointed

  • Amani

And the ramblings of the perpetual adolescent continues. When will this dunce grow up? I feel so embarrassed for her.

  • T

The best way to deal with haters is to do you, not make a ghetto song full of profanity. You never feed the BS if it is truly beneath you. Sadly, this song will most likely become an anthem for young girls. To think this is who the First Lady said she wishes she could be out of all the women in the world. Sigh..

    • Ahhh not the bizness

She a little to old to start trying to go thru her “Rihanna Phase”, I mean stick to the Texas Pageant Girl image that got u to where u r now, This sounds cray cray for realz

      • Trisha_B

Exactly!!! People get on Rihanna for her song content, but the girl isn’t a 30 something married mother who hangs out w/ the obamas lol. & Rih said by the time she starts a family things would calm down. So I find it weird Bey going back in time & experimenting lol. Diva had a similar sound to this, but the content was different & it was at a diff stage in her life.

    • Taj

      Well said. . . well said .

    • Kay

      Yes. Agreed.

    • Amanda

PREACH!! I am not the biggest Beyonce fan but even I can say that this “song” is beneath her or what I would expect from her given the oves se has been making in ecent years to position herelf in a better light. This song is more than just unfotunate and ghetto simply doesn’t do it the justuie it deserves!

      • But it’s not beneath her. It IS her! Do you honestly believe that she was the golden girl? This is the same person that was caught [by Ne-yo & Keri Hilson] taking credit for writing songs that she didn’t write. Her throne is imaginary. Vocally she may not crack the top 25 female list right now. She’s just always had the best marketing.

        • Just saying!!

This is SO REAL!! My executive producer has always told me talent is only 10%! Marketing is what makes these celebrities and her PR team is NO JOKE!!

          • IllyPhilly

            And that’s the truth!

        • hollyw

You are right, at the end of the day, NO ONE knows the real Beyonce, 99% of her is just a figment of our imaginations!

        • TRUTH

        • IllyPhilly

          So damn right!

    • You hit the nail on that one. I would have expected more from her as well. The picture is just as tacky.

    • Doubledime

Exactly!! Our President & First Lady adore this chick and call her the perfect role-model for their daughters. Seriously?? I see why this country is in such moral decline. The arrogance of Jay-Z & Beyonce is ridiculous.

  • LOVE it!!! Can’t wait to hear it in full to get all of the flavor!

  • t_99

I don’t care for the lyrics, or the awkward tempo change in the middle of the song with the creepy voice. How do you even dance to this? I’ll pass.

  • ebonyhud

    Love it!

  • Hate it! Puhlease stop this madness. Stop blowing her hear up when yall know this crap!!!

    • Jane

You know the bought and paid for media will endorse any foolishness dropped by the artist they like all while tearing down good songs by acts they don’t like!

  • Honestly it sounds like she’s tired of people popping off at the mouth at her and taking side shots so she simply let her status be known. She said she was coming back stronger well….

  • BSide

Bown Down Bitches…Badi Bey is Back!

  • Oh no. I think B will kill her reputation with this. NOT COOL! People already thinks she worships some dark being and this is going to just make it worse! JMO

Get down off the cross other people need wood. You are not God!!! Airhead

    • SheRatchet

First comment, best comment. No others need apply.

      • mia

the irony is that a Beyonce hater was the first to comment. Y’all keep her more relevant than her stans do.

    • Amani

Haha Best comment ever!! She really is the epitome of an airhead. How a woman who has traveled the world over can be so dimwitted is quite stunning.

      • Jane

She is married to a drug dealer who beat Foxy Brown & Ami Lion when he dated them after all. Perhaps living with him has rubbed off?
