Why did you attend SXSW? I spoke on Franchesca Ramsey’s amazing Naturally Social panel. I wanted to come because it’s the conference experience I hadn’t yet had, but knew I had to do. SXSW is a respected conference where new music, films, and interactive opportunities arise. This turned out to be an incredible and inspiring experience.

What influences you? I draw my influences from the online natural hair movement, the magazines I read, and the pop culture I ingest. Also attending events like SXSW, Blogging While Brown, BlogHer and other conferences are so incredibly inspiring. There’s something about being in the presence of highly motivated, intelligent, forward thinking, creative women that really inspires me to new levels of greatness.
