Once Again It’s On: BET’s “Real Husbands Of Hollywood” Renewed For A Second Season
By all accounts, this should be called The KEvin Hart Show but we digress.
After debuting with a whopping 4.1 million viewers and knocking out the competition in its time slot in January, BET has decided to renew “the fakest reality show ever,” The Real Husbands of Hollywood, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
BET’s president of music programming and specials Stephen G. Hill sounds beyound thrilled:
“When we launched this series in January, we knew our audience would have as much fun watching it as we had making it, and since it has been on the air, fans have voiced on social media that they want more. So this was a pretty simple decision: ‘Hey! Let’s make more! We are beyond thrilled that Kevin Hart and the stellar Husbands will be back bickering and back-biting, for another season on BET.”
The show, co-created and starring Kevin Hart (the other creator is comedian Chris Spencer), will have a 12 episode season when it returns. The other Husbands, including Nick Cannon, J.B. Smoove, Robin Thicke, Duane Martin and Boris Kodjoe, are all slated to return when the show begins filming again.
Most of these stars stay busy in other aspects of their professional careers so it no doubt a good time when they can create a “fake” reality show and pretty much just be silly.
