And The Winner Is: Kenya Moore’s ‘Booty Boot Camp’ Beats The Pants Off Of Phaedra’s ‘Donkey Booty’ Fitness DVD

One of the biggest sources of controversy during the current season of Bravo’s hit reality show, Real Housewives of Atlanta, has stemmed from a business deal turned ugly between co-stars Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks. In case you haven’t been keeping up with the show this season, allow me to catch you up to speed. Kenya agreed to assist Phaedra and her husband Apollo in the production of their “Donkey Booty” fitness DVD. Plans went awry when the ladies were unable to see eye-to-eye regarding Kenya’s compensation for the work she put into the project and they decided to part ways. Kenya felt that because she had already put so much work into putting a fitness DVD project together, it would be a good idea for her to put out her own fitness DVD and…. the “Stallion Booty” workout idea was birthed. Most argue that Kenya put together her own fitness project to be spiteful, while others argue that she was totally justified in her decision.

Since it was revealed that Kenya would be releasing her DVD, the ladies have proven that they aren’t exactly above dogging each other out. They have each gone on account publicly insulting one another’s physiques and making claims that their video is somehow better. While each party could argue that their fitness routine is superior to the other, the numbers don’t lie. And according to the numbers, Kenya Moore is winningggggggg.

Lalate News is reporting that a mere six hours following its Amazon.com release, Kenya Moore’s “Booty Boot Camp” fitness video has already outsold Phaedra Parks’s “Donkey Booty” DVD. Both videos started out as bestsellers, but it seems that Phaedra’s sales have fallen off in recent weeks. As of two days ago, Moore’s video ranked at number forty-six in Amazon’s Exercise and Fitness category. While Amazon is only one platform where the videos are being sold, Kenya surpassing Phaedra in sales serves as a major indicator of how the videos are performing.

Are you at all surprised by the outcome?

Phaedra’s issue with Kenya was mainly about Kenya flirting with her husband Apollo in Anguilla. Phaedra is passive aggressive these types of people are very nice to your face and never say what they think bcos they want to be liked and to be seen in a certain light. Instead of Phaedra having it out with Kenya in Anguilla, as usual she pretended to not give a hoot at the time and continued to be friends with Kenya even helping her out when her boyfriend dogged her out. But a snake in grass always strikes when you least expect it, she rather showed her anger in a completely different matter altogether . Am sure that Phaedra knows that Kenya’s booty is nicer than hers (even though its fake) and she knows that Kenya is not the type of woman who you want to be enemies with.

you was looking at her crack that hard. lol

  • Quickaccount

Not suprised. Phaedra made her workout video childish by calling it Donkey Booty and Kenya seemed more serious.

I’m not at all surprised – Phaedra’s body is NOT as tight as Kenya’s – Period. Sure we look to the “trainers” and aspire to look like them – but depending on your ultimate fitness goal – either may be the right video for you. Some very large or very unfit women may realize they will never have a body like Kenya’s. They may think Phaedra’s body is great! Others may believe it’s possible to achieve a body like Kenya’s – so they should opt for hers. Either way Kenya will reap the karma she deserves for stealing Phaedra’s idea (and potentially making more money from it). As for Kenya’s fake butt – I hope EVERYONE realizes THAT butt is NOT achievable from working out!!!! Maybe she should put a disclaimer on the box!!!

  • Laide L

I don’t want to look like Phaedra thank you. I’d rather have Kenya’s body, looks and hair. No, her backside is not fake. Unfortunately, the older some people get, the bigger their butts get. That happened to me.

    • Milaniimartini

Haaaa- seriously?!? You think her butt is real? If so I have a bridge to sell you! LMBAO!!!!

  • mrsburgess

Totally agree a “donkey booty” is not something most women aspire to achieve but is a ” stallion booty” a better option? Somebody please grab a Webster dictionary cause a stallion is technically a uncircumcised male horse. Drop that ridiculousness from the marketing then its team Kenya all the way #thechuckisfit

Apparently you don’t understand the rating system at Amazon. It is a rolling rating; it’s based
on sells by minutes. Phaedra’s video probably has sold way more videos from the
months it’s been released. Anytime you released something in a day against something old, of course it will appear that Kendra sold more. That number might not be real what you are stating. As an author, I understand the rating system. My book stood at a 6 against one of the authors I published, but I knew for a fact the other person outsold me by 4-1. I published their work and was getting the numbers as soon as the sales happened. The ratings are based on
sales as they happened. A lot of people probably purchased Kendra’s on release,
so that will show up as a best sellers if a lot of people purchased her video. But over the month that number might look a little different. Another factor in the sales is whether a like video in the same genre or classification is selling or not. If another booty video sold 100 and you sold 13, it would seem like you are the victor when the overall total could be Phaedra sold 10,000 overall while Kenya sold 1000. Unless you are getting reports from amazon of the numbers sold, which you wouldn’t be getting since you didn’t publish the video, you shouldn’t make a statement like that unless you have Kendra’s total sales number as well as Phaedra’s. Scrap my statement if you have their total numbers of video’s sold. Amazon does explain this lot better than I am if you look it up on their site. I’m rushing because I’m at work.

How do you know that? Do you have their sales number?

“Are you at all surprised by the outcome?” NO! If a consumer decided to buy either video based on the cover alone, Kenya’s would win. If a viewer of RHOA decided to buy either video based on the fitness work ethic shown on the show by each woman (especially prior to the announcement of making a fitness video), Kenya would win. If a consumer based their decision to buy either video based on what each woman’s professional background is as it relates to fitness/beauty/health/etc, then Kenya would also win. If the last qualifier didn’t matter, then LL Cool J’s fitness books wouldn’t have been the great success they were/are.

Also, thank GOD that my body looks different for me now at 39 than it did at 19 years old! It gave my body time to grow into itself and “fill out”. And no, it didn’t “fill out” solely due to weight gain. I only gained and maintained about 15 pounds during the last 20 years. Hardly enough to make any drastic weight gain differences.

Additionally, if much of my business, 20 years ago, revolved around my appearance and that appearance involved appealing to mainstream (white) America, then I would take care to not appear too “exotic”. From what I can remember, in 1993, white women with large derriere’s were not fashionable or desired. As Miss USA, Kenya may have wanted to fit that mold. Exercises such as Pilates aim to lengthen muscles, not plump them. So she very well could have kept a vigorous fitness regimen and still managed to not build certain areas of her physique. Now that times have changed, as well as her target market, she can now do the opposite.
