“I Never Thought It Was A Relationship” Rita Ora Says She Didn’t Take Rob Kardashian Romance As Serious As Him

March 6, 2013  |

Remember a few months back when we told you about Rob Kardashian going bananas on Twitter about Rita Ora after their split as a romantic item? The rant was pretty disrespectful whether the claims he put out there about her were true or not (since adults shouldn’t expose people’s sexual lives on social media…or at least they shouldn’t), and included him saying she slept around on him with 20 guys, and ended it with such statements as, “How can a woman who is so busy trying to start her own career have time to be with so many dudes all while in a relationship?!”

Ora was pretty quiet about all the online mess that Kardashian started, though prior to his rant she was open about the fact that because she was so busy, she couldn’t be fully present for him  or fully in love with him. But in an interview with the Australian magazine Sunday Style, homegirl didn’t hold back her disappointment in his behavior and thought she’d backtrack on the whole “boyfriend” and “relationship” talk thrown out there:
“I never actually thought it was a relationship in all honesty. I never mentally defined it as boyfriend/girlfriend. When I split up with him, I said, ‘It’s because I’m never there, I don’t know how to do it.’ That’s all I said, then … the rest happened. He obviously felt that creating myths was the way forward.”
She also of course said his form of therapy, whining to the public, is not how she gets down:
“When you are involved with someone for a while and they decide to express their feelings to the public, well, that’s not my personal way of therapy but I guess everyone takes split-ups differently. You should have to sit an exam before you go on Twitter. To see if you’re mentally stable.”
Ouch. Sounds like she was down for the idea of a relationship, but never really was ready for it. As she says, she didn’t know how to be there the way a relationship calls for people to be present physically and mentally. Could she have led your boy Rob on? Maybe, but he was still wrong for putting her on front street via Twitter. Talk about TMI. But despite the fact that she never really felt that Rob was her boyfriend, she wants a real live boyfriend now, preferably one in the industry. “It’s a terrible feeling, being lonely … I’m still a girl. I’d love a boyfriend. But it’s hard when they’re not in the industry. I wouldn’t care what he did as long as he made me laugh. I love laughing.” Here’s to hoping she’ll be mentally ready next go ’round…
