Many of you probably guessed that although former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Sheree Whitfield announced her departure from the show last April, RHOA probably wouldn’t be her last time being featured on a reality show. Not because she hinted at having a bomb spinoff show in the works, but because the world of reality television seems like this vacuum that just continues to suck people back in. While Sheree hasn’t signed up to star in any new reality series (at least that we know of), she will be making an appearance during this season of OWN’s Iyanla: Fix My Life, reports ESSENCE.com.
In light of the recent drama that Whitfield has found herself in the midst of, including the IRS tax lien that was placed on Chateau Sheree earlier this year and the restraining order that the Georgia courts granted her against three Atlanta bloggers, we’d say that Whitfield seems like the perfect candidate for the show. The April 20th airing will depict Iyanla assisting Whitfield in working through her problems with former NFL player and ex-husband, Bob Whitfield, as they hash out their issues, reveal their true feelings about one another and exchange views on co-parenting. This could be a great move for Sheree.
In other Iyanla news, at the start of this year we told you that the spiritual life coach would be attempting to fix DMX’s life during Season 2 of her show. While details regarding X’s appearance on the show were scant, those of you who saw his emotionally gripping appearances on VH1’s Couple’s Therapy know that the topics discussed are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the many issues that plague this man.
During a sneak peek of X’s April 13th episode, you can see he and Iyanla bump heads the second she questions his sobriety.
“Are you high?” Iyanla asks.
“Shut the f*** up, man,” DMX retorts.
Needless to say, the scene gets pretty heated and ends with Iyanla telling X, “You don’t get to speak to me ever again!”
Yeah, it gets that real.
