It’s no big surprise that Jamie Foxx loves to sing, evident by the fact that half of each episode of the Jamie Foxx Show showcased him serenading someone or singing a jingle. Wow, Will Smith and Brandy as actors who’ve dabbled in music? Really? Are you really that young, because I am not that old. Will Smith is The Fresh Prince, period. He won the first Rap Grammy. He never would have starred in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air had he not been successful in rap. “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” “Girls of the World,” “You Saw My Blinker,” “Nightmare on My Street.” – Give me a break. He was a rapper long before becoming an actor. And that doesn’t even do justice to the career of DJ Jazzy Jeff. Just disrespectful.
And Brandy – OK, I’ll give you that she started out on Thea. But she gained much more fame when her first single, “I Wanna Be Down” came out. Her career took off – and then she got Moesha. It did not happen the other way around. These two musicians DO NOT belong on this list.

Those two surprised me as well. It seems they would be on the “musical performers who’ve done the acting thing” list.
