Despite the negative opinions of some, the Super Bowl halftime show performance that reunited Destiny’s Child on one stage appears to have given all three of the former group members a slight boost. Entertainment One has recently announced that they will be working with singer, Michelle Williams on a forthcoming reality show entitled, My Sister’s Keeper, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The series is said to follow Williams and her sisters as she prepares for the release of her new Gospel album.
“I am very thrilled about this opportunity, to extend into television with the eOne family as well, with this series. Working together on my new gospel album and television series, I am excited to share with everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration and journey of recording for the album, performing, fun family times and other unforgettable experiences out together with my dear sisters,” said Williams about her new series.
The show will be executive produced by Tara Long, Phil Thornton, Jeff Hevert, and John Dee Hammond.
We’re very excited to expand upon our relationship with Michelle on this new collaboration that will provide fans with a peek into her everyday life,” Tara Long said in a released statement on behalf on Entertainment One.
So far, there has been no word on which television network will be picking up the show. In other Michelle Williams news, the singer also addressed the seemingly never-ending drama surrounding Keyshia Cole’s unflattering statements about her Super Bowl performance, during an interview with V-103 Chicago. She says that she never even had time to respond to Keyshia’s comments the night of the Super Bowl because she was too busy celebrating with the girls. She also revealed that although she may have wanted to respond to the mean-spirited comments, she doesn’t intend to stoop to Keyshia’s level and hurl insults at her because she realizes that she is a role model and doesn’t want to let anyone down.
