You know you’ve made it when you have the chance to host Saturday Night Live. That’s right, I said host–not perform or be a special guest. And for Hart, it’s clear that he’s come a long way. Just last year the comedian was hosting the MTV VMAs, he had a recurring role on the ABC smash Modern Family, Think Like A Man was the number one film in America when it was released in 2012, and of course, his show The Real Husbands of Hollywood, is a big hit on BET. And did he remind you already that he’s the two-time NBA All-Star celebrity basketball game MVP??? That’s most definitely a long way from doing Soul Plane and Paper Soldiers with Beanie Sigel. Hey, I’m just saying.

Hart is set to host on March 2 according to The Grio, and will do so alongside musical guests Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, whose song “Thrift Shop” is a number one jam on the Billboard Hot 100.

Let’s hope that when Hart takes over the show, things will be more like his BET Awards hosting gig in 2011 and less like his stint hosting the VMAs last year, because he just seemed a bit nervous in front of all the young white folks and very big celebrities (remember that Chris Brown, Drake joke? Or his take on Gangnam style with Psy? Aaaaawkward.) But either way, we’re excited for him, and with the right jokes and skits, it should be a slam dunk for the little guy.

Will you be watching him host Saturday Night Live on March 2?

i hope he doesn’t jack up the vibe….snl comedians are known for their funny but its a different kind of funny they dont have to try as hard as others but i wish him well

SNL needs all the hep they can get, you better check the ratings that show is going down the toilet. Kevin Hart will breath fresh air into that stale show.

their ratings doesn’t have a thing to do their with quality and showmanship… a lot of shows experience inclines and declines doesn’t mean the show is bad

  • TRUTH IS

Yes…I love comedy over these dramatic “reality” shows
