Back In His Good Graces: Miguel Added As A Last Minute Performer On The Grammys
It may not happen for all artists but for Miguel, patience is a virtue.
Just over a year ago, the R&B singer was ranting on Twitter about being snubbed by the Grammy board for what he thought was a great single in “Sure Thing” and a great overall album with All I Want Is You. He felt he’d worked hard and because he was snubbed, his feelings were hurt.
Well, what a difference a year and apparently even harder work makes.
Not only is he nominated for five Grammys for his work on his second album Kaleidoscope Dreams, including Best Urban Contemporary album and Song of the Year for “Adorn,” but EURweb has learned he was also very recently added to the performance lineup for tonight’s awards show.
As he told Radio.com: “I have something really special planned for the moment. I can’t wait to do it.”
Kaleidoscope Dreams by critics and fans alike as one of the best albums of 2012. It would come as no surprise if Miguel walks away with at least one award.
He was also in the studio late last year working on music with Beyonce for her next album so it looks like the stars are really aligning for Miguel.
Here’s to seeing what he’s got up his sleeve next.
The 55th Grammy Awards air tonight on CBS at 8pm.
