Robin Roberts and the folks at Good Morning America have made it official: She will be heading back to the morning news grind on February 20. She’s been easing her way back into the job with practice trips to the studio in recent weeks and a trip to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
Fishbowl NY says Roberts’ return is “five months to the day” since she got a bone marrow transplant.
Last April, Roberts was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, called simply MDS. Her sister, fellow news anchor Sally Ann Roberts.
She appeared on camera last month to say that she would soon be back on the job. She’ll be back in time for the Oscars and other big ratings getters.
