Mega producer and Harvard graduate, Ryan Leslie recently paid a visit to New York’s Power 105.1 studio for a quite interesting interview with the Breakfast Club. The shows hosts, Angela Yee, Charlemagne and DJ Envy of course asked Leslie some pressing questions that many have been itching to learn the answers to. Charlemagne wasted no time asking  about the dramatic triangle that Leslie found himself in with Cassie and Diddy.

“Man, I don’t think anyone of those people, with them not being here, would want me to broach that subject. I mean, I already had a conversation with him. [Diddy].”

He also revealed that he and Cassie had a conversation a little over a year ago. When asked what he thought of Cassie and Diddy’s relationship, Ryan replied:

“It’s life man, people have to do what they wanna do to be happy.”

He was also questioned about a viral video that has been circulating for some time now, which depicts a distraught Leslie crying on stage and burning a copy of the New York Post during one of his concerts.

“Actually, I didn’t cry on stage… I did burn the New York Post and I know what video you’re referring to… I live in a world of viral media. You know what I’m saying, that’s what I built my career on. When that video got more distribution, because everyone thought I was crying on stage, you know, that’s good for the actual message that I had in that video… I was wearing a leather cap on stage, you know, I’m sweating and whatever it was. You know what I’m saying? There was no crying on stage.”

In case you may have missed it, back in 2010, Leslie’s laptop was stolen. He publicly came out and offered $1 million to the person who returned his laptop to him. A man from Germany actually returned the laptop, but when it came time to pay up, Ryan was reluctant. The man took Leslie to court for the reward money and a judge ruled in his favor, ordering Leslie to pay up. After the judge’s ruling, the New York Post published a cover story on the case, where they referred to Ryan as a “rap weasel,” which is why in retaliation, he burned a copy of that issue on stage during a performance.

Peep footage of  Ryan’s emotional performance below. Does he look like he was shedding tears or “sweating” like he said?
