The Unnatural Transformation Of Lil’ Kim

February 20, 2013  |
1 of 15

We can’t possibly be the only ones who’ve noticed the Notorious K.I.M has been looking less and less like Kimberly Denise Jones from Brooklyn, NY, as the days go by. First it was just a nose job, then maybe some butt implants, then came the cheek implants, lip contouring, and the most egregious of all, skin bleaching. After catching Kim out and about recently, we couldn’t help but wonder when and how she got to this point — not to mention why — so we took a little stroll down memory lane to see the unnatural progression of Lil Kim’s physical transformation. And here it is in pictures and nothing more. We’ll let you all provide the commentary for this shadeless picture book.

Even if she had plastic surgery its the makeup thats really f******* with her. On top of all that 3rd world country/back room/ underground surgery is a horrible makeup artist.

  • Missedwards

Overall, she did look better before, but I don’t think she looks as bad as these pictures let on. The weight gain and the make up is what’s messing her up. Is she can tone up some and go for more natural make up and wigs, she’ll be ok.

  • uniquefashionista

I heard that plastic surgery becomes very addictive just like drugs. They say once you start, you can’t stop. Lil’ Kim was such a beautiful lady to begin with. Somewhere down the line, she didn’t see what everyone else did. Now, she looks like Yoko Ono to me. What a shame.

  • Gail Pain

She looks like that Korean lady who had to many face jobs were her cells won’t hold her true self thing we do when we use words like black barbie it made her a real barbie never white tho

  • Gail Pain

She needs to get a 1776 dictionary and find the word black there she will find herself cursed of the word glammer

  • browneyes

Wow!! She is totally a different person; I guess you give thanks to plastic surgery. But she was a nice looking lady, why would she want to do this to herself. Makes you wonder the issues that people carry and deal with on a daily basis.

  • Chocolate7777

why would a beautiful black woman want to alter her looks? What is the point?

  • mlsj78

Lil’ Kim went from naturally F***** up looking to surgically F***** up!!! LOL!

  • ALowe

saddest thing is she did all of this to get the “love” from the people and all she’s earned is our pity.

  • Lovely

Pic number 7: I don’t think that’s Kim at all.

  • Estylo702

    Is #7 really her??

    • Is It 5:00 Yet?

      It doesn’t look like her.

    • Duni1

      It can’t be her

  • baddvixentype

Slide #7 ‘Lil’ Kim VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards in 200’ is NOT lil kim smh

  • Annette

This is why I don’t get why some people say Natauri should’nt have played Kim in the movie. Natauri looks similar to the Kim of early years who she was playing.

  • Annette

Thank you MN ! You finally found a format that works for us mobile users.

  • Chevonne22

Kim looks like she’s trying to become a White woman like Michael Jackson. The only difference is she started out as a Black woman, whereas Michael started out as a Black man.

    • Annette

Michael Jackson really did have a skin condition, though. It makes you lose your melanin in patches and apear polka dotted. He knew at some point he could never make himself back black, so he bleached his skin to have one even tone.

It’s still very unhealthy, but he didn’t just want to be white like many people believe.

  • chilid

I love Lil Kim but she look like a mannequin. She looks like a plastic black doll.

  • donnaj

who ever her makeup artist/ hairstylist is on the last few pages must not like her at all.. I mean, AT ALL… smh.. makes her look so much worse

  • klynn

Lord have mercy! How many times are you going to write about this poor woman?! We get it…she messed herself up. She obviously has issues, if it maker her happy then who are we to judge.

  • Donna

I don’t know who proofreads (in this case, proof-sees) the dang articles/ pictures because I know for a FACT that is not Lil’ Kim on page 7! BYE MN.. because y’all wrong for that!

  • She looks like a black Snookie

  • D

#7 does not look like Lil Kim….

  • Is It 5:00 Yet?

Number eight is a nice picture of her. I’m not one for plastic surgery, but if I were I would have stopped around pic #8. Now she looks like Jigsaw.

That is what low self esteem will do to a person. Just love yourself. If my problems can’t be fixed at the gym, then I will not lose any sleep at night.

  • I love Kim as much as the next fan does! …but dammnn, her friends ain’t shiiit..

    • genii love

      true story….
i find it crazy that NO ONE in her camp said anything

  • Candacey Doris

She should have stopped in the 90’s. All of that surgery was unnecessary.

  • JaneJane

2001 pic looks like Lark Voorhies after the gibberish…Glad we are finally saying it out loud, admitting is the first step to recovery.

  • Keisha Samoht

She should have STOPPED at picture 6….

  • mac

I think the emergence of Nicki sent her insecurities into overdrive. After 2009, she just looked completely overdone and plastic, and I think that’s what brought about the butt implants as well.

You’ve got to pity these people. We saw a beautiful black woman, but you can only imagine what she saw when she looked in the mirror throughout these years.

  • IllyPhilly

Where are all her real friends?

    • IMO I believe some celebs keep people around who tell them what they want to hear instead of the honest truth…

      • IllyPhilly

Sounds about right because I know everybody in their camps don’t get Hollywood. I guess to them if you speak the truth you’re a “hater” and gotta go.

  • genii love

im sry but WHO exactly is that on page 7!? i know for damn sure thats not Lil’ Kim.

    • Ms. Kameria

That’s what I said. *side eye*

    • toya

    • lol it is though

    • mac

upon further review, it is definitely her. She looks very different through.

    • bvictorian

      It actually is

      • genii love

we know…its just really hard to believe

      • ALowe

looks like she tried to dye her brows

  • Sagittarius81

    Why Kim, whhhhhhhyyyyyyy?!!!!!

You were beautiful back in the day and you were my homegirl, now you look like a bootleg Nicki Minaj wax figure from Madame Tussauds museum.

  • She was so pretty back in the day. This is just….sad….

    • Ms. Kameria

She was pretty in 94. Except those eyebrows and fingerwave/ baby hairs

Ewww….I feel sorry for her bc this cannot be undone

  • sasha

So sad! She was pretty and unique looking back in the day. Now she looks like a horror show. Are you paying attention Kim K?

Also, just a question, how do these celebs really bleach their skin? is it a medical procedure or do they actually put chemicals on their skin daily? I imagine it would be really aging too — maybe that is why Bey has started looking rough…

  • bluekissess

Who cares. Congratulations MN for updating your mobile site

  • .:*whitneyeclectic*:.

The problem here is that, just like Michael Jackson, she just didn’t know when to quit (his tinkering and tweaking should’ve came to a screeching halt around the time “Bad” debuted). Nobody had the gall to say “Hey, you look great right now you don’t need anymore plastic surgery/bleaching.” As evidenced by the pictures the major changes started around 1998. The point where we could tell she had some work done but still looked amazing and somewhat natural was around 2004. She should’ve definitely stopped THEN and those tragic pictures after that point would not exist!

    • Nora

      Completely agree

    • SunshineBlossom

Co-sign all the way. I love Lil Kim, but she should have a memoir titled “Kim: Tragedy of a Face”.

    • Amani

      *Bobbing my head along*.

I still love Kim but what she’s done makes me so sad; you’re definitely right that she should have stopped in 2004 – she looked fierce then!

    • Yasmin

But, you need to realize that people who get excessive surgery have huge perception issues. It’s rather well know Michael was teased continuously for his apprearence and I have a feeling Kim may have been bullied too. Simply telling them to stop wouldn’t have solved anything. Personally I feel extremely bad for celebs that get too much cosmetic surgery (a lot of underlying issues) …and MJ looked pretty handsome until the mid to late 90’s lol

      • genii love

totally agree. I believe its called Body Dysmorphic Disorder. They will always find somethign “wrong” that needs “fixing.”

      • .:*whitneyeclectic*:.

I understand…I’ve heard about BDD before to some extent but it still baffles me when I see things like this. I mean…at what point to people who suffer from this realize that no matter how much they alter their appearance on the outside, it isn’t going to fix what’s going on internally?

    • Marguerite

I am sitting here thinking the exact same thing as you. No need to say it twice.

    • Acappellla

I agree with all above but.. I think someone prob DID say something to one or both of them. But its obvious they didn’t listen. lol

      • Caydence James

I don’t think that someone said something to Kim as it was probably about the fact that she was in love with a guy who had a serious preference for light skinned woman. Every woman Biggie surfaced with were bright and damn near white women (Faith, Charli Baltimore, etc). Even in his songs when he made mention of women he said things like,”She was blonded out like a virgin”. Or “she had green eyes, French vanilla thighs” so chances are that the more she hung around him and his crew, the less beautiful she felt!
I seriously think she was convinced that if she were just a little lighter, had different colored eyes and a narrower nose then men would love her and she had no one that she believed to tell her differently.

        • Acappellla

I agree Caydence. Funny thing is, I thought about that also and I definitely think she was affected by Biggie’s preference for Faith over her. Anyway, it seems to me anyway. When I watched the movie about Biggie I thought she probably lightened her skin because of the way it affected her. Even if that wasn’t the whole reason, I am sure it played a part!
