Super Bowl? That Was Just A Warm-Up: Beyoncé Announces “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour”

February 4, 2013  |

In the wake of her dynamic 13-minute Super Bowl halftime show performance with former supergroup members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, King Bey dropped the bomb that she is now ready to conquer the world by announcing “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” via her website last night. The tour will begin April 15th in Eastern Europe, making its way to the rest of Europe and North America. The North American leg of the tour will kick off June 28th in Los Angeles, California at the BET Experience  At L.A. Live and will wrap up in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclay Center on August 3rd. It has also been announced that an additional installation of the tour will begin later this year in Latin America, Australia and Asia.

Tickets for the European tour are said to be going on sale beginning Friday, February 8th, while tickets for the North American tour go on sale Monday, February 11th. The entire tour will be sponsored by Pepsi, MasterCard and Coty.

Many are sold over the title of the tour alone. Since her marriage to Hip Hop mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter five years ago, Bey rarely ever publicly refers to herself as “Mrs. Carter”. But, we’re sure her amazing Super Bowl performance only added to the excitement.

Of course, news of her upcoming world tour wasn’t the only thing that Mrs. Knowles-Carter was eager to express following the highly anticipated halftime show. She also penned a handwritten letter where she revealed how excited she was to share the halftime stage with Kelly, Michelle, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys.

“What a proud day for African-American women!!! Kelly, Michelle, Alicia, JHUD. You are all beautiful, talented, and showed so much class! It was an honor to perform at the Super Bowl with you phenomenal ladies!!!” she expressed via her Instagram page.

Commercials for priority tickets to her shows at the O2 have already aired. It seems that O2 customers will be offered exclusive access to purchase tickets 48 hours before they go on sale. Peep the special television ad below.
