Call It An Upgrade: 14 Celebrities Who Did Plastic Surgery The Right Way
We can all identify plastic surgeries gone wrong but now it’s time to give you the best in celebrity reconstruction. While many of these famous faces haven’t gone overboard with the nipping and tucking, even the smallest dabble into cosmetic surgery earned these stunners a spot on our list. So without further adieu, we present our picks for 14 celebrities who did plastic surgery the right way.
So did she or didn’t she? While Megan Fox is adamant that she has not has any plastic surgery, we beg to differ. That nose, those lips and possibly even more of Mrs. Brian Austin Green seem to have gotten a little bit of a boost of the artificial variety. But regardless of whether she did or not, Megan Fox truly lives up to her name: She is without a doubt one of Hollywood’s most beautiful young actresses and a of epic proportions. Even if she’s had a little work done, she still looks so natural and hot girl-next-door-ish that there was little doubt that she deserved a prominent spot on our list.
It was the nose job seen round the world, but we have to give major props to Ashlee Simpson for coming clean about her trip to the plastic surgeon. While she hasn’t gone into specific detail about what procedures she has done, she wasn’t afraid to tell Harper’s Bazaar her thoughts on going under the knife saying that it was “a personal choice. I believe if somebody chooses to do plastic surgery, it [should be] for yourself, not for anyone else.” She added, “Everybody always has an opinion,” she says. “One minute they’ll love you; one minute they’ll hate you. When you go home to sleep at night, [the important thing] is to feel good about yourself. And I do.” Preach!
The only man to make our list, Bruce Jenner has had both good and bad experiences with plastic surgery. Though a botched facelift in the 1980s made him look atrocious, and a shadow of the strapping young lad he once was, Bruce decided to go the surgery route again for some corrective nips and tucks. Though age has definitely taken its toll on Jenner, there is little doubt that this latest try was much more of a success.
Think what you want about this hotmess, her parenting skills (or lack there of) and her life in general, but we’d be lying if we didn’t admit that Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham looked much better after a trip to the plastic surgeon. In October 2012, Abraham got her chin and nose fixed, while also adding a couple of cup sizes to her bustline. Though she certainly didn’t err on the side of subtle when it came to her updated look, if hotter was what the 21-year-old was going for, we’d have to admit — ever so begrudgingly — mission accomplished.
Jennifer Aniston? Plastic surgery? Say it ain’t so! OK, well it is and it isn’t. While the former “Friends” actress says that she has never had a nose job (despite speculation that she has), she did admit that she popped into the doctor’s office for a bit of Botox. But, as she told Red magazine, she wasn’t fond of the frozen look it can give users. In the same interview she explained her thoughts on the pitfalls of messing with nature:”A lot of women go too far and end up looking a hell of a lot older than they actually are and it sort of has a reverse effect,” she said. “So talk to me in 10 years.”
Well kudos to Kris Jenner. In a sea of celebrities who refuse to admit when they’ve gone under the knife, the matriarch of the Kardashian K.K.K.K.K.K.Klan had no qualms about sharing her face lift and boob job with the entire world. In fact, she allowed E!’s cameras to follow her around has she got her new, bigger and better, rack installed. About her breast augmentation, Jenner quipped: “Everyone needs a fresh set every 20 years.” And while she’s definitely teetering on overdone, for the time being we have to give her some props for maintaining that natural glow. She looks young, fresh and, most importantly, still looks like Kris Jenner, not someone else.
While we’ll give Kate Gosselin a little bit of credit for fessing up to a tummy tuck, we’re bummed out that she won’t admit to making a few more trips to the plastic surgeon. Look at that face, that nose … there’s obviously been some serious time logged in at the doctor’s office. But her unwillingness to admit the obvious aside, Gosselin has come leaps and bounds from the frumpy, less-than-cute mama of eight of years past. Now with one hell of a stylist, some great make-up and hair teams and a new, more ambitious attitude, Gosselin is certainly a sight for sore eyes.
Though she didn’t give her appearance as massive of an overhaul as some of the other celebrities on our list, Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell admitted in 2009 that she had dabbled in Botox. She told the Daily Mail “Years ago in America, when Botox was new, I had some squirted into my forehead and it gave me a headache, she said. “I’m not saying I’ll never do it again, but for now I strive to look for examples that show me it’s OK to age.” If that isn’t a message every celebrity stunner should listen to, we don’t know what is. Halliwell’s healthy self-image is certainly something to admire.
Supermodel Cindy Crawford is one of the most beautiful women of all-time. She has walked countless runways and completely changed the fashion game in the 1990s. But has the stunner had a little bit of maintenance done to preserve her look? Crawford has admitted to using Botox in the past, saying “”I’ve tried Botox but it scares me. Plastic surgery is really scary, but as long as you don’t use these things to change your face, I think it’s okay.” Wise words!
“Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively hasn’t admitted to getting her nip and tuck on, but rumors have swirled for years that Mrs. Ryan Reynolds is no stranger to the doctor’s office. A nose job? Boob work? Those theories have all been floated around, and if they’re true, we have to name Lively among the best celebrity plastic surgery jobs we’ve seen. She’s drop-dead gorgeous, completely girl-next-door looking and with legs that most of us could only dream of. Yeah, we’ll give this little lady a big thumbs up!
Guess it was only a matter of time after being pushed into the spotlight by her batch*t cray cray mother that Bristol Palin would want to upgrade her look. Though she dropped the extra pounds all on her own, Palin admitted to having corrective jaw surgery that gave her a thinner, more angular face. Granted, corrective jaw surgery isn’t exactly Botox, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t include the “Dancing with the Stars” alum among our picks for the best transformations.
Another Hollywood A-lister who hasn’t confirmed any plastic surgery action, talk show host Ellen Degeneres definitely looks like she’s had some work done. Though very subtle, Degeneres has sported a thinner faced, fresh look over the last several years that we can’t help but think was the result of nipping and tucking at its best. Among the possible procedures: a face and eye lift. Degeneres isn’t exactly a knockout, but she can certainly hold her own with wife and former “Ally McBeal” hottie, Portia De Rossi.
Fitness maven and Hollywood actress Jane Fonda has no qualms about coming clean with her trips to the plastic surgeon. While she is in incredible shape for her age, Fonda wanted her looks to reflect how she felt on the inside, telling Matt Lauer, “I feel so great and so rested and I look so different and I just decided — and I’m not proud of it — I decided I wanted to look more like how I feel.” Fonda explained that she’s had work done on her chin, neck and eyes, but we think she’s still held on to a classic, natural and total enviable beauty.
Though Kate Hudson has always been a stunner, blessed with her mama Goldie Hawn’s good looks, we can’t neglect to recognize her for a boob job well done. While she hasn’t spoken about her surgery, US Magazine reported that she and Nicole Richie both sought the help of Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Garth Fisher to add a little something extra on top. If it’s indeed true, Fisher did some impressive work on both of these lovely ladies. Their new and improve busts look natural, but give a little more feminine curve to their figures.
