Another one of our beloved “Golden Girls” has passed as of 1am this morning (June 3). Rue McClanahan, widely known as the sex-crazed “Blanche Devereaux,” passed away at the New York Presbyterian Hospital of a stroke.

The actress was no rookie to the industry when the prime-time NBC hit premiered in 1985. Her career started on Broadway in 1969 and she went on to star in Another World and CBS soap Where the Heart Is. Although she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997, she completely recovered and went on to play in small roles.

Her manager said she passed away with her family at her side.

May she rest in peace. And may Betty White stay strong — she’s the last “Girl” we’ve got.
