Robert Downey Jr.’s Battle To Get Out From Under Drugs And Back On Top In Hollywood

Am I the only one with a low-key crush on Robert Downey Jr? Well on the new Robert Downey Jr that is. I think everyone knows that RDJ was struggling with drug addiction in the ’90s, so much so that he was in and out of jail, and to be specific, it’s something that he struggled with since he was eight. A month after getting parole for a drug and gun possession arrest in ’96, RDJ wandered into the home of one of his neighbors while high, and ended up falling asleep in one of their bedrooms. It was like a scary version of Goldilocks and the three bears. After that incident, RDJ received three years of probation, but later went on to miss a drug test for his probation, landing him in jail for more than four months. Things continued downward for Downey until 2001, when he finally did rehab, started spending more time on his craft again, and slowly but surely became a leading powerhouse in Hollywood. Talk about a huge comeback!
