“My Breast Milk Was Sweeter Than Tamera’s Placenta” The Mowry Twins Continue The Motherly Sharing

You might not have known that this was “a thing,” but apparently there are increased health benefits, including better breast milk production, from ingesting your placenta after you give birth. So maybe that’s why Tamera had the hospital preserve hers after she had her son Aden.

But as you know, these two share everything. Just like Tia made Tamera taste her breast milk, shortly after Cree was born, Tamera pushed her placenta on Tia. Naturally, it was a bit of a harder sell but mixing it with brandy was the key to get Tia to swallow.

On StyleNetwork’s site, this is what Tia had to say about the whole ordeal.

Tasting Tamera’s encapsulated placenta was very interesting! If you think about it too much, you’re not going to like it, because all you’re going to think about is that you’re consuming placenta. But I was really, really surprised that it tasted pretty good mixed with a little bit of alcohol. It was definitely Tamera paying me back for making her taste my breast milk. I tasted my own breast milk and I still think my breast milk was sweeter than Tamera’s placenta!

Watch the video of Tia tasting here.

If you had a sister, would you taste her placenta? Why or why not?

I couldn’t do it. I love my sister very very much and we share almost everything but bodily fluids are 100% out of the question. PS.It looked chunky on the little eyedropper thing…kinda made me wanna gag!

    Milk, fine. Placenta, NO!

Encapsulated placenta is believed to have all the nutrients necessary for decreased healing time, better breast milk production, and an increase in antibodies. It’s supposed to have many health benefits postpartum. It’s nothing new. I wouldn’t do it personally but I wish we would explore better health benefits when it comes to our children (cloth diapering, breastfeeding, making their puréed foods, etc.).

I’m a new Mommy to an 8 month old. I’m still nursing, cloth diapering and make all of her babyfood we even saved our cordblood but exnay on eating the placenta. I definetly would have encapsulated it had I known about it and all the benefits 🙂

Congrats! My baby just turned 9 months. When I did the research on breastfeeding, vaccinations and all that other good stuff I came across the whole placenta thing. I was like YUCK! After reading the possible, benefits I could understand why some women would do it. They need a few more people to convince me though. Lol!

Thank goodness Tia is more likable and is able to book jobs. Tamera’s annoying behind will use that baby and all those stupid “letters” to stay in the spot light. Next they will be tasting the baby’s piss.

  • Nisa

They are so annoying! You’d think they were the first women to have babies.

I didn’t want to sait but I agree.. I was done after the public letter a few weeks ago. This right here is doign way too much. I am ready for them to go away

  • Ain’t no way in HELL I would be willing to ingest my own placenta, let alone someone else’s, twin or not!! LOL to each their own… I absolutely adore these sisters though!

Milk is different than placenta lol. We consume milk all the time, that milk just came from a woman & not a cow or goat lol (they say breastmilk is better for us, reason why a lot of people are lactose tolerate is b/c we arent meant to consume another animals milk) but placenta??? Idk, my sister is on her own lol. It got blood on it lol

    • JaneDoe

Right two totally different things… I would even taste my own placenta

  • The f*ck . . . .

  • Sagittarius81

When I gave birth to my daughter, I saw my placenta and I was like YUCKY! But I did tasted my own breast milk out of curiosity and it tasted like sweetened milk.

    • GeeMoeNettie

Yes the breast milk I have tasted. The placenta is a NO GO.
