Where Are They Now? The Stars Of 7th Heaven
Even though 7th Heaven has been off the air for almost six years, a lot of us grew up watching the Camden family on the small screen. The show ran for 11 seasons and won several different awards. In case you were wondering, here are the latest updates on where the cast of 7th Heaven is now.
Stephen Collins played the lead role of Reverend Eric Camden, who was married to Annie. The couple had seven children together throughout the entirety of the show, and even though Stephen is best known for his role on 7th Heaven, he’s played parts on many other T.V. shows since then, including Scandal, No Ordinary Family, and Private Practice.
Catherine Hicks played the role of Annie Camden, the loving mother and wife, on 7th Heaven. After the show ended, Catherine had several different gigs in various TV movies, but never achieved the fame that she did while on 7th Heaven. She was, however, nominated for an Emmy for her role in Marilyn: The Untold Story.
Barry Watson played the role of Matt Camden, the couple’s first child and son. During the show, Matt gets married, moves away, and becomes a doctor. Nowadays Barry Watson has landed numerous TV series gigs including roles on Samantha Who?, Drop Dead Diva, Rip City, and Gossip Girl.
Jessica Biel played the role of Mary, Eric and Annie’s first daughter. During the show, Mary becomes rebellious and is sent to live with her grandparents. Even though Jessica’s role on the show was lessened as time passed, her fame didn’t fade a bit. Jessica has since been in several movies including Hitchcock, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Illusionist, and Total Recall. Don’t forget she’s also now married to Justin Timberlake.
Beverley Mitchell was Lucy on the show and she literally grew up before our eyes, evolving from a boy hungry teenager into a mom working as a minister. In real life, Beverley is married and is a mom-to-be this year! In the acting world, Beverley has roles on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Saw II, and Pennhurst.
David Gallagher played the role of Simon, the second son who eventually leaves the family home to go to college. Outside of 7th Heaven, David has landed roles on different T.V. series including Bones, Saving Grace, The Vampire Diaries, and CSI: NY and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Mackenzie Rosman, also known as Ruthie, was the youngest daughter on the show and even though she started as a youngster, by the time the show came to an end, Mackenzie was 17! When the show ended, Mackenzie took some time off to enjoy life outside of Hollywood, but she has since appeared on episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager as well as in movies including Proud American, Fading of the Cries, and The Tomb.
Lorenzo Brino played the role of one of the twins, Sam and David Camden, on the show. The twins were the couple’s last children and also grew up throughout the series. Nowadays Lorenzo would be about 13 years old, but he hasn’t returned to the acting world.
Nikolas Brino also played the role of the twins. Nikolas and Lorenzo often switched roles in the show since they were acting at such a young age. Even though Nikolas has three other brothers, he and Lorenzo were the main two of the quadruplets to star on the show. Like his brother, Nikolas should be about 13 years old and has stayed out of the spotlight since the show ended.
George Stults played the part of Kevin Kinkirk, the police officer who eventually marries Lucy. The two have a daughter together and Kevin becomes a stay-at-home-dad after nearly being shot. Outside of 7th Heaven, George Stults has been in other T.V. series including The Finder, Friends, and Maybe It’s Me.
Tyler Hoechlin plays the role of Martin Brewer, who first appears on the show in 2003 and was invited to live with the Camden’s after being sent to live with his Aunt. Near the end of the show, Ruthie and Martin fall in love but she ultimately chooses another guy. Tyler has since grown his presence on the big screen by playing roles in movies including Hall Pass, Open Gate, Solstice, and Road to Perdition.
Ashlee Simpson plays the role of Cecilia Smith, who is first Simon’s girlfriend but then starts to date Martin. She becomes a close family friend, even after Simon goes to college. Though she’s also known for her singing career, Ashlee has also had roles in several small screen shows including Melrose Place, CSI: NY, and Malcolm in the Middle. Nowadays she spends her time as mother to her son named Bronx.
Rachel Blanchard played the role of Roxanne Richardson, who first appears on the show in 2002. She is a fellow officer of Kevin’s and dates Robbie as well as Chandler. During the show she and Lucy go from being enemies to best friends. Since 2004, Rachel has had roles in Flashpoint, Open House, Dark Hearts, Road Trip, and Snakes on a Plane.
Jeremy London plays the role of Chandler Hampton, who fills in as minister at the church when Eric is undergoing a heart bypass surgery. After doing so well at the church, Eric asks him to continue to work as the associate minister. Aside from the show, Jeremy London has also had appearances in House Under Siege, The Devil’s Dozen, Trance, and Mallrats.
