Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That: Deion Sanders’ Legal Team Quits Because He Can’t Pay Them

It seems that Pilar isn’t the only one who is completely fed up with the seemingly shady ways of Deion Sanders. According to RumorFix, on New Years Eve the retired NFL star’s divorce attorneys filed a motion requesting permission to withdraw from the case. I know you’re probably wondering, “what attorney in their right mind would want to withdraw from such a high profile, seemingly never-ending divorce battle between a wealthy NFL broadcaster and his model wife?” Especially considering how long Pilar and Deion have been duking it out in court; the case seems like the gift that keeps on giving. Well, court documents filed by Deion’s attorneys Jody L. Johnson and Rick Robertson reveal that they wish to drop out of the case for two very crucial reasons. One being that they are “unable to effectively communicate with their client” and the other is that Deion is “unable to pay his attorneys pursuant to the terms of the employment agreements with his attorneys.”

Deion may want to begin trying to smooth things over with his lawyers considering the fact that he has some pretty important court dates coming up, including a January 9th child custody hearing, a January 22nd prenup arbitration hearing and an additional jury trial in relation to their children on March 4th.

Of course, “Team Pilar” didn’t miss out on this rare opportunity to get one up on Deion while he’s probably somewhere in a corner licking his wounds. Pilar’s spitfire publicist Kali Bowyer wasted no time reaching out to Cherry On Top to discuss the latest misfortune to fall upon the former NFL star as well as to threaten him and any bloggers who may be working in cahoots with him to destroy Pilar’s “good name”.

Nothing surprises me at this point, first he screws Pilar out of her support, now his legal counsel, what’s next? I look at it this way all Deion had to do was write a check and do right by the mother of his children. That’s what this all comes down to, a dollar, a simple dollar. Deion has been very blessed throughout his career and to have made the income he has, why would he not want his children to continue on with a similar lifestyle? Spite … that’s all it is spite, hate and resentment. Sadly, a new year has no resolution in anytime soon. I would ask to have the madness to stop, the lies (which are now leading to libel law suits), he [Deion] promises small time ‘blogs’ exclusives and to put them in touch with other sports figures & celebrities in exchange to attempt to make her look bad, writing n*sty lies. At the end these bloggers will realize they got screwed as well as ending up in a court room themselves.”

Ouch.

If you’re nosy and want to see the actual court document filed by Deion’s attorneys, hit the next page. What do you make of Deion’s lawyers quitting on him?

When he dragged his kids into helping him to file charges against their own mother in his favor he should have known then that God don’t like ugly!

I cannot believe after all that money Deion makes, with the charter school, the consulting gig that he has, how can he not have the money to pay his attorney fees? He just got his child support reduced, he can take that extra money and put toward his legal expenses. It got to be more to it than that.

      Say Ann,

Deion is faking it just like his supposedly tackle of a running back. Everybody bought into his snake oil “Must be the Money” Pitch. This dude is phony has a three dollar bill.

No thanks
