The former Melrose Place and Gossip Girl actress has been locked in a bitter and absolutely crazy custody battle with her ex-husband, German businessman Daniel Giersch. While there has been the requisite mudslinging back and forth, this battle took an ugly turn for the worst when a California judge ruled that Giersch could have custody over the couple’s two children … in France. Why you ask? Well it’s because Giersch managed to get his visa revoked and he’s no longer permitted within the United States. It also didn’t help matters that he insisted Rutherford was trying to cut him out of his children’s lives. Rutherford has continued to fight to regain custody of her babies, Helena and Hermes, appearing on numerous talk shows to tell her heartbreaking story.
