Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Oprah Winfrey has left her longtime agency CAA.

Founded in 1975, the firm (Creative Artists Agency is the full name) is headquartered in Los Angeles and is known for its long list of celebrity clients. Earlier this week, Jon Hamm, star of the show Mad Men, joined the firm’s roster.

The agency worked with Oprah during negotiations with Discovery Communications to start OWN. Deadline calls the move a “shocker” noting that Oprah is one of the agency’s biggest clients. She worked with a team led by Kevin Huvane who’s other clients have included Meryl Streep and Brad Pitt.
