Could It Be Real? Video Of A Golden Eagle Swooping Down And Snatching A Baby Hits YouTube

December 19, 2012  |

If you were already worried about the predators on the ground when it comes to looking out for your children, you might have to keep an eye out on what’s in the sky as well now. At least that’s how I feel after watching a YouTube video of a little boy getting swooped up by a Golden eagle and lifted into the air in Montreal. The clip, about one minute long, shows a man (possibly the user who uploaded the video, MrNuclearCat) videotaping a Golden eagle flying in the air, and catches it as it abruptly swoops down to the ground, near a man and his young child. The eagle proceeds to grab the baby and pull it in the air, only to a few seconds later, drop the child on the ground. Maybe the eagle realized that the child was NOT its type of food (“Oh snap! This isn’t a big a** rabbit like I thought!”), or maybe it had to abort its mission after realizing the actual weight of the child. Either way, the bird dropped the baby like it was hot (we’re not 100 percent sure if the child was a boy or girl by the way), but from midair, causing the child to hit the ground kind of hard and cry.

Ever since the video dropped yesterday, people have been talking about it all over the “Intanetz,” with many claiming that they think the video is a fake. But I don’t really see why some would think a huge eagle doing something like this could be unimaginable. Didn’t we just see a video of a zebra and a pony running down the street in Staten Island working together to get to freedom? Seriously folks, you never really know what an animal is capable of until they go ahead and do something, so if I could cast a vote, I’m calling the video the real deal. What about you? Check out the video below and let us know if you think it’s legitimate or phony-baloney.
