That Girl Good! Tamar Braxton Performs Her Hit “Love And War” On Wendy Williams

After the surprising success of her single “Love and War,” which rocketed to number one last week with the help of great production, a great voice, her reality show and the co-sign of celeb friends and supporters like Ne-Yo and Lady Gaga, Tamar Braxton is riding around and getting it as we speak. For further proof of that, check out her performance of “Love And War” on The Wendy Williams Show, which was shown on today’s episode. In a form-fitting black dress with white floral details, a dramatic blonde wig, and a bright red lip, she sang her little heart out, even allegedly bringing Wendy to tears.

All in all, the more I hear the song, the more I appreciate it, because initially, while it was a beautiful track, I was indifferent about it. But that girl can SANG. Yes, “sang” m’dears, not “sing,” which made me like the song a lot more. But I will admit that there were moments where I couldn’t really hear what she was saying and she struggled at first to get those high notes off the ground, but once she did, I had to bob my head hard like Vince was doing in the audience (big laugh at him for doing it with such a straight serious face). Good work by Toni’s little sister, who is clearly starting to get some shine all on her own. Check out the video below and let us know if you’re loving the track and the performance. And on a side note, unless you love Wiz Khalifa, you can stop watching around the five-minute mark.

What do you think?

I don’t care for her attitude but I’ve always liked her voice, actually all the Braxton girls. I wish they all were able to have more success back in the day when their albums were out.

Aww man Ta Ta why you gotta have that all seeing eye on your hat! Music, music, music as good as you sound Tamar Ima just have to start making my own music and listening to it. I don;t want any parts of the deception!

    • Just saying!!

Yikes I didn’t know that! But I figured she was in by now anyway lol That’s so depressing. I have dreams of pursuing a singing career but I don’t want to sell my soul to do it. :’(

I’m so happy Vince let this woman sing!!!! She really does have a beautiful voice–something lacking in most of the music world.

I secretly loved Tamar and all her ratchet/loud/diva antics. I’m happy to see her succeed. YOU BETTER WORK DOT ORG!

  • SheBe

Ye she did do that! I just wanted her to relax. Shes so talented. You can tell she was nervous (which she says all the time on the shows about performing) and she looked a little awkward (she didn’t know what to do with her hands) at some moments. Once she was feeling the song all of that faded out. I had a mini proud mama moment for her. Oh and she looked GREAT! Dare I say that’s the best she has looked on TV? I think I just said that….

LOL, Vince is feeling his boo! look at him
