We know we all morn in different ways, but what possessed a mourning girlfriend to sing Mary J. Blige’s  “Seven Days” at her boyfriend’s funeral, we just don’t know. Couple things, you never want to talk about making love to someone while people are coming together to pay their last respects, and of all the songs to sing, “Seven Days” just isn’t it. There are just way too many lines in that track that are not appropriate for that occasion.

Perhaps the funniest thing about this clip is that when the girlfriend goes into the second verse, someone decided to save her from herself and basically told her to have a seat baby. Thank God for that woman.

Check out the clip below. Have you ever had anybody sing a suspect song at a funeral you attended?

I have yet to click on the video but Im over here dying laughing! The thought is just so hilarious.

  • Fiedah

OMG! HILARIOUS! I would not have been able to contain my laughter if I was sitting there. It’s not even about the song, its about the fact that she cant sing worth a damn!

  • Miss_Understood

What killed me was the dancing! She even rubbed the casket like the Apollo tree stump!

  • ANTMilf

Her man should have came out of that casket and choke the living doo doo out of her for butchering that song at his funeral! But thank God the other woman just took the mic from her, blood was already coming from my ears.

  • Cha Cha

I don’t care if she sang Amazing Grace… that voice needs to be held captive for at least 7 days.

  • Kg

Who cares how she sings. its a damn funeral. She’s grieving and maybe that song meant a lot to the deceased. This world is so f**ked up.

LOL! It reminded me of my Granny’s funeral and my cousin decided to sing his rendition of “This is the day” By the time he got to his made up 3rd verse my fam had to give him the Apollo hook… In our family no matter what event it turns into amateur hour.

OMG I”m dying laughing….why would this be ok gul?!?

  • NeaJ

OMG! I’m completely lost for words…wait, no I’m not!! WTH was she thinking? Lol. Inappropriate doesn’t even begin to describe her actions. She was better off singing “Go Tell It On The Mountain”. It’s a Christmas song and has no relation to a funeral but those ppl would’ve appreciated that song more than this one. Sigh!!

Those goofy guys laughing about it had me crackin’ up. Then, after the woman rescued the mic from her and another one sat beside her, like she was holding her down to make sure she did’nt get up again. This is a comedy sketch that wrote itself!

  • Ronzilla

XD Now they went on and let that woman sing that doggone song. No no no no. They wanted her to look a fool or somebody would have stopped her. That’s a mess. But I’d have to admit, they’d be throwing ME out ’cause I’d be on the floor cracking up.

I may be rachet for this. But who said that funeral have to be in one particular format. Think about the jazz funerals in New Orleans. It came from her heart and I guess it was okay with his family.

  • lexis

datz disrespectfull Wdf first she cnt sing den da camera person keep moving and de waz laughing

  • klynn

I think it’s a shame that people make fun of someone grieving. This world is simply at a stand still, and going no place fast. I suppose if you saw someone wailing over thier loveones, that would be funny to you as well. Thank goodness God is a forgiving God, or we would all be going to hell.

  • IllyPhilly

    “On Sunday we made love.”

    • Na Na

….and the entire audience cracks the heck up! Oh that was classic.

She’s from Detroit, where I live. She actually has a video saying she will rap or sing at weddings, funerals, and other events

    • MLS2698

So I guess she didn’t get paid for that performance, huh?

    • FromUR2UB

She sings professionally? I mean, people actually pay her to sound like that?

LOL!! I saw this a while back and was floored!! Even if “7 days” was his favorite song, it’s totally inappropriate to sing it at his funeral. #fuckwrongwithher

  • reallytho?

…on top of ALL of that, her voice was HORRIBLE!!!!!! Complete garbage!

    • AreYOUForReal?

I wonder how melodic YOUR voice would be whilst singing at your dearly departed companion’s memorial service. For someone who can’t even spell ‘though’, you may wanna ‘completely’ get familiarized with a dictionary!

  • Kaori

Um, wow. Why didn’t anyone stop her sooner? Wow, that was just so tacky.

  • AJ389

I’m actually scared to watch the video. Lol!! Where do y’all find this isht? LMAOOO!!!…….. *dead*

  • thegoodluckpig

she needs to have SEVERAL seats. how could you think this was the appropriate setting for that performance? someone should have stopped her soon as she hit that chorus.

    • sigh

Here’s an idea…let’s have a funeral for “have several seats”. Is that even close to being played out?.

But she can’t even sing! I clicked on the video expecting somebody with a decent voice to be up there but this whole scene was just tragic! And every time she said “make love” everybody started giggling. too funny!
