Let’s be clear: This show was the original Girlfriends and definitely lent a hand, even if indirectly, into the creation of Sex and the City.  Maxine, Khadijah, Synclaire and Regine kept up such different lives – with the help of their male neighbors, Kyle and Overton – and often had us wondering which one we related to the most.  Here, we choose some of our best moments and episodes – no order, just fun times.  Did yours make the list?

    my favorite so is when regine plans her exe’s wedding ( heavy d) and max and kadijah sing and shout in church and regine and the bride almost fight

    What about when Max ran for office and she kept saying Ride the Maverick. Regine and her mother. When Max started dating Regine’s ex or when Regine was having sex and her mother caught her. Classic episodes

    I loved the choir episode! Another funny episode is when someone kept breaking into the apartment.

    It would be cool if they did a movie, with them all married with kids, you know, a sequel. That would be worth looking forward to. Kyle could be a platinum-selling singer, Synclaire could be a psychologist, or something equally as humorous!!!!!

    I simply melted when “Kyle” sang “My Funny Valentine”, that brother can sing!!! I have never heard that song sung better. I wish he would record some old standards like that because he has a beautiful voice. Thanks “Kyle”!!!!!! Also, I used to love this show, it felt like home. I could relate!!!!!!

    This show wasn’t flawed. It just lasted longer than it should have. The series ending should have been Overton and Synclaire’s wedding. We didn’t need that male room mate. I couldn’t stand him. Also they forgot to mention the whole Scooter/Khadijah/Alonzo storyline. I loved when she was with Alonzo and Scooter comes in saying baby I’m back! The fighting between Max and Regine was over the fact that they were just alike. They had different methods but they were alike which is why they butted heads alot.

    I loved the show because there wasn’t “A very special episode”. They stay true to the show and it was funny. It was just a show that wasn’t taken THAT seriously, but it showed that Queen Latifah had this outstanding personality!!!

    Watching this show now, you can see just how bad/flawed this show really was….I hate the fighting between Max & Regine & Max & Kyle….it seems Max & Regine didnt like each the entire series, unlike Toni & Maya on Girlfriends who did become friends on GF”s.
    And, it seems like Synclaire & Overton needed to leave the show ’cause they just didnt mesh with the other characters and Synclaire become more n more corny as the show went on!
