No ‘Psych’ Out Here! Actor Dule Hill Files For Legal Separation From Wife
And they seemed like such a fun couple.
After 8 years of marriage (which, as we know, is about 20 years in Hollywood years), actor Dule Hill has filed for legal separation from his wife, dj Nicole Lyn (she djs under the name DJ Nix). He cited “irreconcilable difference” as the reason for the separation.
The two met years prior to getting married at a party but unfortunately, Dule did not get her number. According to an interview he did with TV Guide a few months ago, he knew it’d be “meant to be” if they saw each other again. Three years later, they were both at the same party, exchanged numbers and began dating. He also said that because his current show Psych is filmed in Vancouver and Nicole’s dj work moves her between Los Angeles, New York and Miami, it hasn’t been a walk in the park but they’d been making it work. Unfortunately, it seems they were not able to overcome that hurdle.
The two have no children and according to TMZ, the paperwork does not identify a division of their assets.
Even if you have never seen Psych, it is likely you’ve seen Hill on television at some point. His career began on Broadway as understudy for tap great Savion Glover in The Tap Dance Kid. They worked together again years later in Glover’s Bring In Da Noise, Bring In Da Funk! After moving to Los Angeles, Hill found his “ace in the hole” gig on NBC’s The West Wing, which lasted four seasons. He may not be the most famous actor but he’s been working since he was 10 years old!
For her part, Nicole Lyn is consistently busy with her DJing gigs. She’s also spotted out quite a bit in the New York city social scene so we have no doubt they’ll both land on their feet and that this won’t be coming ugly.
