It’s About To Be Official! Amber And Wiz To Become Husband And Wife In A Few Weeks
Wedding bells are about to ring in Hollywood because Wiz Khalifa just told Hot 97 that he and Amber Rose are about to do the dang thang. In his XXL interview last month, Wiz said that he and Amber would likely make it official before their baby boy comes and then have a traditional ceremony some time after the birth and this morning he confirmed that the time has come to execute that plan on the popular hip-hop and r&b station.
Speaking to Angie Martinez, he said:
“We’re gonna get, like, a licensed marriage. In a couple of weeks we’re gonna have that done. I’ve said it, I don’t think people really understood what I was saying. They’re like, ‘yeah okay, whatever.’ Definitely, like in the next few weeks. Before or after I get off tour.
“You just sign the papers or whatever and it’s like a legal thing. It’s like ‘Bam, you’re married.’ And then when you have the ceremony that’s when you invite the family, she can fit into her dress and then like nieces, nephews… if we have a daughter one day, she might wanna give the dress to our daughter, but if she’s pregnant then she can’t do that.”
Somewhere in that garbled English there was a sweet sentiment, I promise.
Until now, the cute couple has kept mum on how far along Amber is in her pregnancy, but today Wiz said Amber is in her third trimester and is about six months in, so sounds like a February birth could be expected. Wiz also said the cutest thing about how his wife-to-be looks as a pregnant lady:
“She sits in her cute little pregnant position and she’s eating fruit and I just lay on her lap and rub her stomach. She watches TV and rubs on my head while eating fruit.”
He also added a not as cute detail about Amber, saying that on top of the men’s magazine model wanting to be back to her curvy hourglass self for the couple’s official wedding ceremony, there’s another reason why the two are putting off the celebration until after Amber gives birth. He told Hot 97:
“She wants to get drunk.”
I guess that reason is as good as any.
Congrats to these two on making it official in a few weeks!
