Whatever is going on with Katt Williams doesn’t look likely to stop and his downward spiral continues.
After Wednesday’s tour bus fight and subsequent arrest, you’d think Katt could keep it together long enough to do a show and please the fans he has left. Well, that plan fell through too. According to Mercury News, fans reported that Williams came to the stage, performed about 10 minutes of “nothingness” and then left the stage. After waiting for somewhere between 10 and 30 minutes, he came back to the stage sitting on a stool rambling about being in Oakland and his relationship with God. At some point, someone started heckling him and Katt challenged him to come on the stage and fight him. Soon after, one of his security guards came out, whispered something in his ear and Katt left the stage.
This continues to be a horrible situation, especially since he has children who likely watch his every move. He certainly was not in line to become the next Eddie Murphy but comedy fans quickly took to his semi-pimp life style of comedy and he shot to fame. But like many, too much fame too soon resulted in a quick burn. Katt has consistently had problems every year for at least the last three years. By all accounts, people who have continued to pay for his shows think he might have some “other” things going on that makes him act the way he does.
Patrons of Friday night’s show are looking to Live Nation for a refund for the show where tickets ranged from $33-$87. So far, no word if they’ll be seeing those dollars again.
