I haven’t dated a lot but I’ve dated enough. Over the years, I’ve learned that women – and ladies, I love you dearly – have some ridiculous expectations when it comes to what a man is supposed to do in the relationship. I’m not talking about things like courtship in 2012 even though a lot of you “independent women” make more money than us and have more graduate degrees than us or how men always have to be the first to approach. I think we can all agree those things and many others are ridiculous, but at least they make logical sense and have a basis grounded in history. Today, I’m talking about expectations that really are ridiculous and their ridiculousness aren’t up for debate. While I could have made a list of 100, I chose to start-off with five.     Aww, how nice. An article where the frequent male commenters who usually come to this site to bash black women can come together and bash black women with validation! I figure the article was mostly in jest, but for #2 -killers aside- if you’re at the club with your girl (why?) and a man disrespects her or puts his hands on her, I hope you would defend her. If not, then she shouldn’t expect much from you anyway.

      Constructive criticism isn’t “bashing”. Even a few female commenters on here have said a lot you have a really tough time hearing the truth from men, on here or offline, without sugar being sprinkled on it.

      I actually like when some men comment on here as long as its respectful. “Nope” is one of few who can at least call it like he see’s it without being callous and rude (at least from what I have seen). I agree w your comment on #2 as well.
