Say what? 9 Things Men Should Avoid Saying to Women

If you know anything about women, you know that there are just some things that you should never say to them. Don’t worry, they brought this on themselves. They say they want men to open up to them, but we’ve got a history book full of stories about men who tried and failed miserably. They say they want the truth, but in reality, they can’t handle the truth. With that said, I jotted down a quick list to get some conversations moving on things men should never say to women.

1. “First off, calm down.” – If you want a woman to calm down, don’t ask her to calm down. I’ve never understood exactly why even when a woman is angry, frustrated, and worked up that doesn’t translate into needing to calm down, but it does.

    “Because I was busy…” should also be added to the list. For those times when your woman calls and you didn’t immediately press the answer button halfway through the first ring because heaven forbid you were in a meeting or on the toilet or something like that or your hands were just full. And of course she’ll just keep calling you back until you answer. But when you do answer, just don’t say “because I was busy….”.

    How about “all you got to do is…” if it were that simple, you’d do it right? My husband is already on high alert to never say that to me again! I swear that comment will the death of a man!

    That alternate answer to #2 had me in tears…WTF…who says that? I felt like I was reading part of somebody’s college thesis.

    Saying calm own is annoying because it is like you are disregarding why we are angry and making light of the situation. The worst way to get someone who is worked up is to say calm down, instead make a show of listening and being attentive, that works much better.

    That’s right don’t calm down and continue to scream, holla and act like an ungaged animal. And besides who thinks rational when they are mad? People will say and do things (whether they mean it or not) . So yeah ladies how dumb is it of a man to tell you to take a deep breathe and calm down?
