Move Over Nia: Sharon Leal Takes The Lead In Zane’s “Addicted”
Those who were hoping to see Nia Long back on the big screen may be slightly disappointed to learn she won’t be doing so in the upcoming film adaptation of erotic fiction writer Zane’s novel “Addicted.” Though Shadow and Act mentioned the “Love Jones” actress was in talks to play the lead of Zoe, a married sex addict who satisfies her addiction by having affairs with two very different men, now the word is Sharon Leal has snagged the part.
You should remember Sharon from Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married” series, and though she didn’t have much chemistry with TP’s character in that film, there should be plenty of sexual energy to go around in this one. Not only will Sharon be sharing camera time with Boris Kodjoe, whose lead part hasn’t been determined yet, she’ll also be starring alongside the very handsome William Levy. William is the Cuban cutie from “Single Ladies” and the green M&M commercial that’s been running these days. That’s a lot of man candy for one woman to handle.
Sharon will also be reuniting with her “Why Did I Get Married” cast member Tasha Smith who’s been confirmed to play the part of the therapist who helps Zoe through her addiction.
With William in the mix, I think he may play the part of the sensitive artist and I can see Boris playing Sharon’s husband. There’s no word on who might fill the part of the violent side-piece though. Any suggestions?
