Pass or Play? Luda and Kelly Get It Steamy in “Representin”

October 30th, 2012 - By Marissa Ellis

If only Kelly Rowland put as much effort into her own solo albums (you know putting out more singles, making videos for her songs, and keeping up the momentum after songs like Motivation hit it big) as she did into playing the object of affection for rappers in their music videos, we think her singing career would be much better off. But apparently, the girl doesn’t care too much because she’s getting paid despite her non-focus on music. But we digress, check out this new video, in which she plays the love interest of Ludacris, in his new single “Representin.”

Despite it’s steamy tones, Luda and Kelly pretty much keep it rated PG in terms of on-screen affection. The video is well done nonetheless with a pretty good, relaxed beat to match. Kelly sounds great of course.

Let us know what you think. Is this a pass or play?

Play! I’ve been listening to this song for a while now and I’m loving the visual. Great video, not overly sexxed up, but sexxy nontheless.

Hmph. I think I can actually tolerate this if I heard it on the radio. Would I buy the single on iTunes or Amazon? No. But really, it is just another song where a Black man is rapping/singing about women, so it’s nothing new.

Kelly gets paid. She’s big in Europe, se gets them Euro’s and when u convert that into US Dollars thats more money!!! I do wish she could stay consistent with the music.
