Yay! “Scandal” Expanded To 22 Episodes For First Full Season

If you can’t get enough of “Scandal” on Thursday nights, you are now in luck because ABC is giving you more of it’s new hit show. According to Ace Showbiz, the network just ordered nine additional episodes of the drama, bringing the shows’ current seasons to a total of 22 episodes each.

That’s your cue to shout.

As you know, the first season of the late-night political drama starring Kerry Washington was only 13 episodes — not nearly enough for “Scandal” stans who fill up everyone’s Twitter timeline with chatter on the show each week. After a strong first season opening, viewership is reportedly up 2% from last season, averaging 8.1 million viewers. “Scandal” is also holding steady with a 2.0 viewer rating among adults 18-49 which is very good.

Given this news, I think it’s safe to assume a third season will be happening. Yay!

    Yes! absolutely love this show. I heard so much about it but did not take the time to watch it until I saw it on Netflix. I must say I am addicted to this show now. I love the cliffhangers at the end of each episodes, just making you want the week to go that much faster. Or maybe that’s just me – but I think not.
