“Yes Lawd!” Judge Rules In Favor Of Deion On Prenup Drama

Pilar and Deion’s divorce drama may be coming to a close soon. Yesterday morning, Pilar’s attempt at proving she was tricked into signing a prenuptial agreement and that the contract was forged and fake pages were added failed completely –but not before her attorney’s gave their effort a good go.

Pilar Sanders’ attorney said not only was the agreement a fraud, the whole marriage was a sham, Dallas/Fort Worth station WFAA said:

“She was tricked and defrauded at the time she signed agreement,” said attorney Larry Friedman. “Deion never intended this to be a lifetime commitment.”

Mrs. Sanders’ original attorney, who worked on the pre-nuptial agreement, said Pilar got a $100,000 signing bonus to sign the document.

Deion’s attorney Rick Robertson said, “If the marriage was a fraud, then annul it and give back the money. Give back the $100,000 signing bonus.”

Deion Sanders said his wife knew what she was doing, and is trying to squeeze more money out of him.

“Greed, greed!” Mr. Sanders said. “You signed it and now it’s over and your lifestyle is over, so you want to fight it. Greed.”

The judge, who has heard similar arguments twice before, said Pilar Sanders willingly signed agreement, there was no fraud and told her attorneys not to bring the issues to his court again.

Can you say checked? Both Pilar and Deion have been going overboard trying to pull the sympathy card but I have to say Deion’s lawyers were on top of their game with that whole, ”If the marriage was a fraud, then annul it and give back the money,” line. The former NFL pro could hardly contain his excitement on Twitter, tweeting:

“Boy i wanted to get up and do my dance today in court! I always told you a lie has No endurance and the Truth will win in the end! Yes Lawd”

Pilar’s lifestyle might be over for real.

My best advice to women: Dont sign a prenup! EVER! However, women who are over 39 years old and/or have more money than their future husband, should have him sign a prenup.

  • kierah

Pilar take your settlement, tuck your tail between your legs, and rest comfortably in the corner. You are going to let this lawyers get all the money, aren’t you?

  • gracie

I feel bad for their kids!

  • Ilovemovies2

Dum dum dum-Just the facts madam!!!! I watched their old show and HOP did say-when he met her all she had was gym bag and tennis shoes. D: “She thought she won the lottery when she met me”. btw I don’t nothing but the judge wasn’t buying her side of the story. lol

  • Lisa

That’s what that lazy woman gets for getting comfortable with someone else’s $$, KNOWING she signed a pre-nup. She knew she was a contractor, not full time with severance, therefore work just in case your services are no longer needed.

  • Yvette

Is anyone surprised that she disputed the pre-nup that she freely signed? This is the same woman who allowed her lights to be cut off and then blamed and used the excuse that Deion didn’t pay the bill. Huh? He pays her a nice sum of money in child support for the 3 kids they have together and clearly could have paid her own freakin light bill. She just doesn’t understand that she has to calm way down on the spending and that the lifestyle she is used to living is over. Now don’t get me wrong, I am no fan of Deion Sanders, however, I agree with him on this one so I will simply say this….Dear Pilar, stop prolonging this divorce and sign on the dotted line already. Deion is obviously moving on so please let him and you need to as well. Use whatever money you get and take care of your children’s needs and cut waaaay down on the purses and shoes. P.S. being a single mother means you are now responsible for paying your own light bill. The behavior Pilar Sanders is displaying is the main reason why men use the term gold digger. SMH.

Actually she doesn’t get a nice chunk in child support. She shares custody with Deion. The kids are with him half of the time and with her the other half. He has not been paying her any child support, even though he was ordered to do so, because he feels the payments are too high at $10,000 per month. He has contested it and decided not to pay UNTIL the judge rules on his case – even though he is supposed. He simply doesn’t care. So she likely won’t see any money from the child support until she takes him BACK to court.

Signing bonus sounds an awful lot like something I would need to run by my lawyers before I signed on the dotted line.

I’m not saying who is right or who is wrong and I don’t know the ins and outs of their marriage. However, Pilar was married to a multi millionaire for what, 15 years? She couldn’t save any money or have a stash somewhere over that period of time? A lot of these basketball/football wives are too busy buying shoes and purses instead of putting money up and/or using their husbands resources and connections to start businesses of their own. She should have a nail salon, clothing line or something! She’s very fit and athletic. Any reason why she could not have put out a fitness DVD or did like Jennifer Williams from BBW and used her husbands money to invest in the Flirty Girl Fitness Franchise? I’m just sayin

    • Gizmo299

Its illegal to stash money in marriage and then get divorced because he could have cried foul or sued her back for the money

      • TeahMonae

Well I guess I’m going to jail should my marriage ever end because I have my own separate account. Sorry but I gotta have a “rainy day” fund.

        • Miss Anonymous

Dont worry, I will help raise money to bail you out. Wait since I said I would help does that mean Im helping you with a “crime” and is now a co conspirator?

          • TeahMonae

            Lol!

      • http://twitter.com/shay_lafemme Shana

i do not think that is true … AT ALL. i’m not sure where they are getting divorced, but Texas (where station is reporting story) is a community property state. now, it might be true if that was what they agreed to in their prenuptial or a post-nuptial agreement or once separated or divorce complaint was filed, but i don’t think that’s a general rule/law.

      • gizmo299

Its only in a few states but its not like having a separate account, but in the case of your wife or husband makes a majority or close to all money and then there’s a find of bank account that neither mention and its under the others name. Its not neccesarily a law but it can twist the whole proccess

      • hatetoregister

@Gizmo299 you could NOT be more wrong. It is NOT illegal to put money into a separate account OR to have an account separate from your spouse. If you get a divorce, you are “supposed” to lay out your assets. However, it is NOT illegal to maintain separate assets.

  • JaneDoe

Its funny how Pilar failed to mention that she got 100k for signing the prenup. She signed and accepted then cries foul play. All is fair in Love and War. She got what she signed up for

    • Native_Noir

      Co-sign!

    • NikkitaMichelle

Actually she didn’t get what she signed up for. She wanted to stay married to this man and he kept stepping out on her. She should have signed a prenup with an infidelity clause and cashed in on his butt each time he dipped.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda, doesn`t work in the eyes of the law.Oh well, the “your mammas black” card don`t work in 2012.Men have gotten hip to how women play the”sympathy card” and use it to their advantage. If you sign a prenup, you get what you get,if it ain`t enough to make you happy,TO G*DDAMN BAD.That`s not the man`s problem.

        • Adrina

You’re right. So women need to read it, negotiate, if necessary or don’t get married if they can’t come to terms. These pro athletes will do what they do, but women see $ in the beginning and not the long run. She need to cut her loses and move on.

          • Yvette

            That is exactly my point!

      • Lisa

Well if she didn’t like the cheating, all she had to do was keep her dignity and return the keys to the mansion and the Bentley. These women, who put up with cheating, just to maintain a lifestyle are no victims!

    • Miss Anonymous

She knew what type of man he was. My dad figured out that he wasnt anything when he met him on a army base. Deion was wearing a hot behind fur coat in the south in August and didnt want to sign any autographs for the soldiers. If my dad figured it out in one day, she should havea figured it out within their marriage.

      • Yvette

I believe that she did but the money was just too good to let go of so she settled. Some woman will always pretend that things are better than they really are. Deion Sanders has always been a womanizer. He displayed the exact same behavior with his first wife the only difference is she left him first.
