After All The Drama, Is The Ev & Ocho Show Really Going To Happen?

Is The Ev and Ocho Show really going to happen? Considering that their once-fairy-tale-esque relationship went poof at the revelation of serious domestic abuse, it was all but a given that VH1 would pull the plug on the show and the wedding special which were both already taped. But…Evelyn is saying something different. In response to a fan tweeting her about the likelihood of ever seeing the show on air, Evelyn responded with a maybe.

Personally, I don’t think it’s in poor taste to air the show. If anything, it may give viewers a better understanding on the illusion between edited/scripted reality shows and reality. I myself was completely surprised by Chad Ochocinco’s violent ways. On Basketball Wives, he always came off as the gentle one in the relationship while Evelyn came off as the angry one. Although I didn’t believe that they could be truly in love after such a short and public courtship, I would never have imagined Chad to be the aggressive man that we now know he is capable of being.

VH1 will certainly get its fair share of criticism if it moves ahead with airing the show but I hope they move forward as it will be another fascinating record in the history of reality TV.

    Um how can the author say ” I would never have imagined Chad to be the aggressive man”. I mean he was an a**hole all the time, and never seemed nice or fun spirited at all. Not to mention he was on 3 years of probation in 2000 for domestic battery with a college gf and has been known for cockiness and his temper in each team he’s played for. I don’t want to see the show but I do want the author to not act like he was an angel while Evelyn was the devil. You never know who people are ESPECIALLY on VH1… *eye roll*

    If VH1 put this foolishness of this show on the air, they are crazy and very hard up ratings. Marissa, I disagree with the comment that you say that you don’t think it is in poor taste to air this nonsense. It is amazing to me how people continue to follow this person who has a foul mouth cuss and fight on television. I believe Chad does have some challenges, but I still stand on that I believe that Lozada provoked him and fought him and he headbutted her to get her off of him. I hope they don’t air this foolishness.

    I fully disagree with this article. There is no way, shape or form that VH1 should air this foolishness and folks who want to see this trainwreck is just plain messy…..next!
