(NYT) — Pressure mounted Tuesday on Gov. David A. Paterson to sign legislation to prohibit the New York Police Department from collecting personal information of people who are stopped and frisked but found to be doing nothing wrong.  Four of the five Democratic candidates for attorney general joined several lawmakers and the city’s public advocate, Bill de Blasio, at his office for a news conference on Tuesday challenging the practice.
