Oh how the tables have turned. When the woman is the one with the spotlight and the power as a Hollywood starlet, it can be hard to find real love. Ask the famous women who dated these 10 fellas. I’m sure they thought they had found true love, but unfortunately, what they found was a hot a** mess that looked pretty good in a suit from time to time. So where are these men at now that these ladies have moved on? Let’s find out!

David Justice

Before Eric Benet, and the slew of other gorgeous men that Halle Berry has dated and split from, there was David Justice. Justice is a former baseball star who was an outfielder for the Yankees, the Braves, the Indians and the Oakland Athletics. And while he was winning on the field, he was also winning off the field because he managed to scoop up-and-coming actress, Halle Berry. While things seemed to be peachy keen on the outside, the two had major issues, and wound up separating in 1996, with a divorce following in ’97. When it was all said and done, things ended very messy, with Berry needing to file a restraining order against Justice during their divorce proceedings. After the fact, Berry became very depressed and even entertained the thought of suicide before the thought of her mother got her back on track. We know what Halle’s on these days, but as for Justice, he’s married again to a woman named Rebecca Villalobos. Of course, he is retired, and for a few years there, was a game and studio analyst. Nice to see that both have moved on and are happy campers again.

James DeBarge

Secret marriages? That’s so ’80s. Just ask Janet Jackson and James DeBarge. Before Janet Jackson was a huge name on her own, she was getting married on the low low to James in 1984. Though they tried to make things work, the childhood friends had their marriage annulled by ’85. While Janet is doing big things and is allegedly engaged to boyfriend Wissam al-Mana, unfortunately, James has been having legal trouble. Like, a lot of it. The father of three is currently in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department County Jail for drug and weapons charges. Ironically, he is housed in the administrative segregation near Conrad Murray of all people. This poor family…

Daniel Smith

Solange Knowles was only a young 17 when she married 19-year-old Daniel Smith. Before the two knew it, they also had a child on their hands. A whole lot of responsibility for people barely taking care of themselves. And while they were all smiles and s***s and giggles in their wedding album, when the small family moved to Idaho so Daniel could continue his education, things fell apart and they later divorced. Nowadays, they co-parent cutie Daniel Julez, and he resides with Solange in Brooklyn, where she lives with her boyfriend, director Alan Ferguson. She’s currently becoming a fashion it-girl on top of a popular DJ, and she’s finally getting back to singing. As for Daniel, he’s rarely seen, but when he is, he’s usually vacaying with his son, Jay-Z and Beyonce. Guess they’re cool like that? Hey, whatever works.

Quentin Richardson

Throwback love! I’m sure you forgot the days when Brandy used to be booed up and on her way down the aisle with the former New York Knicks player (who was playing for the Phoenix Sun when they were together), even donning a tattoo of his face on her back. Yikes! The two were engaged for 15 months (2004-2005) after he gave homegirl a $1 million engagement ring, but she broke their relationship off and had that tattoo of ‘ol boy turned into a cat. These days, she’s found love with producer Ryan Press, and just dropped a new album on Tuesday. Richardson is now a small forward for the Orlando Magic and is still making big money on the basketball court.

Kenny Anderson

As Tami would say, there isn’t a trick or a h*e walkin’ that didn’t know about her and Kenny Anderson. The former “Real World: Los Angeles” star and the NBA baller (who was traded more times than we can count) married in 1994 and had two children in the course of their relationship: Lyric and Jazz. Unfortunately, Anderson was a habitual cheater, so Tami Roman, then Tami Akbar, filed for divorce one crappy Christmas and walked away with a good chunk of his dollars. These days, we know that Roman has become a reality star (turned bad girl). But as for Kenny, he has been married twice since their 2001 divorce, including a defunct union that happened one year later in 2002 and ended just as fast. But the third time has been a charm, as the retired player and father of five children from various relationships married a social worker in 2007. He got a degree in organizational leadership in 2010, and is a basketball coach at a Jewish Day School in Florida. But according to Tami, he’s not really involved in the lives of both Lyric and Jazz…

K-Ci Hailey

He was part of the very huge group, Jodeci. She was a very talented up-and-coming singer, and they were in love–behind the scenes. While they might have got on tracks together (i.e., “I Don’t Want To Do Anything”), many women were looking to get with K-Ci when Jodeci was at their peak, and he didn’t seem ready to be tied down. Anybody else see that painful video where a TV host showed a then-engaged Mary J. Blige a video of K-Ci saying he wasn’t getting married to her? Ouch. And if that wasn’t bad enough, there were claims of physical abuse. Their relationship was a tumultuous one and it helped influence the writing process behind the My Life album. Thankfully, she left that situation, married Kendu Isaacs, and is still putting out music. K-Ci on the other hand, he’s trying to get himself together. He and brother JoJo signed with Babyface in 2010 and were hoping to get back to making music, but both have struggled with alcoholism, which was played out on their recent T.V. One series, “K-Ci & JoJo Come Clean.” He and JoJo still sing though, even doing performances with his son, Devin Hailey.

Damon Dash

While still a high-profile mogul working with then-friend Jay-Z, Damon Dash had the luck of dating Aaliyah. They met in 2000 and became a couple after being friends for a while. They were together until she passed in 2001. Of course, he went on to marry designer Rachel Roy after the fact, an on-and-off again girlfriend who he had a child with. They divorced in 2009, and since then, he’s had a string of money troubles thanks to debts he owes and he’s gone on the record many times to throw shade the way of Jay-Z. These days, he can be seen spending a lot of time with his kids (Twitter says so) and still trying to get his entrepreneur on. Don’t count him out!

Tommy Mottola

Way back in 1993, right after Mariah Carey had just started establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, she became romantically involved with and married her boss, Tommy Motolla. Motolla was of course the head of Sony (which is over Columbia Records) then. While things started smoothly, it was said that Mottola became very controlling of Carey, both in terms of the direction of her music and with her personal life and look. By ’97, the two separated and Carey’s music went straight hip-hop with the help of folks like Sean Combs, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and others. She started dressing sexier, went through a breakdown, but has had a comeback, a second marriage and Dem Babies over the last 12 years. As for Mottola, he’s gone on to re-marry too. He got booed up with singer Thalia and the two have two kids under their belt. He’s also left Sony, doing so in 2003. He’s currently trying to produce and develop TV shows and films, and he also bought out Casablanca records in the hopes of resurrecting it. Still the businessman.

Cris Judd

Wow, talk about a mess of a public relationship. Once a back-up dancer and director for Jennifer Lopez, Judd provided comfort to Lopez after her breakup with Diddy. They had a whirlwind relationship that turned into marriage in September of 2001, but ended in divorce less than a year later. Though she was married, that didn’t stop Lopez from getting romantically involved with her Gigli costar, Ben Affleck, part of the reason things went bad with Cris. She went on to have a VERY public relationship and engagement with Affleck that ended badly, married and divorced Marc Anthony (and the two have twins together), and is now dating ANOTHER back-up dancer, Casper Smart. And of course, he’s getting the same privileges Judd had, including the chance to direct her videos. As for Judd, he’s still dancing, showing up in the tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, he still acts and choreographs, and he’s also found love again. He married Kelly A. Wolfe in 2009 and has managed to stay out of the public eye and scrutiny.

Stevie J

Of course, singer/songwriter, Stevie J, is not on this list because of his relationship with Mimi Faust, but because of his high-profile relationship back in the day with rapper, Eve.  She was just blowing up with her career, and he did her dirty likes he has done most of his women with his cheating ways. Though he was her first love, according to her, she left before things got too messy. Too bad they made a sex tape first. That of course got spread around the Internet thanks to a shady former friend who tried to blackmail her, but Eve handled the embarrassment like a G and has since moved very much on. She’s said to still be dating British businessman and millionaire, Maximillion Cooper. Talk about an upgrade! Stevie is of course still messing around getting folks pregnant, but is a bigger star than ever because of his role on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” He’s letting the fame go to his head and is currently dating either Joseline Hernandez or Mimi Faust. Or both. Who knows…?
