14 Has-Beens and D-List Celebs Who Are OPENLY Supporting Mitt Romney (We Smell Publicity Stunts!)
Some celebrity political opinions are more important and valued than others. A-list celebrity endorsements tend to be much more worthwhile. In any event, during this election season there are also has-beens and d-list celebs who are doing anything they can to either get their name back out there or to keep their slowly-dying fire burning. Here are 14 d-list and has-been celebs who have endorsed Romney and received media attention by proclaiming so…even when nobody asked.
Stacey Dash has openly endorsed Mitt Romney and her comments have sparked more backlash than anyone would ever imagine. Conveniently for her though, said backlash got her all kinds of press, even landing her a seat across from Pierce Morgan on CNN.
Shyne, who was deported from the U.S., said if he could, he’d be voting for Romney due the lack of help he’s received from the President in getting back into the country. Too bad President Obama has more important things to worry about…
Lindsay Lohan made the news not because of an arrest or car accident (though she did just have a public spat with her mom), but because she claimed that “as of now,” she supports Romney.
Kid Rock has endorsed both Romney and Ryan. His music is even used at campaign events. I’m sure President Obama would have loved to use that one song he has for campaign events. You know that one. Wait, what song is he popular for again?
Though he supported Obama in 2008, Gene Simmons has switched sides and says he’s supporting the businessman, Romney. Why? Well, Simmons claims that President Obama has been a “piss poor president.” But to shake things up, Simmons turned around and claimed that he didn’t officially endorse anyone yet. Yet he appeared on FOX News talking about why he loved Mitt Romney. Dude, just quit while you’re ahead.
Jenna Jameson has stated that she is looking forward to having the Republicans back in the White House. Good luck with that, girl.
Vince McMahon and his wife, Linda (who is running for senate in Connecticut) have donated thousands of dollars to Romney’s campaign to show their support.
Ted Nugent has said plenty of harsh comments about the Obama administration, calling it vile, America-hating, and evil. He’s a smart fella though. He knew that by being so ugly with his comments about the administration, and even violent at times, he could steer attention his way.
Chuck Norris and his wife released a video warning those who vote for Obama of 1,000 years of darkness to come. Obviously, he’s all for Romney.
Johnny Van Zant
Lynyrd Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant was once a registered Democrat but has since switched to being a Republican, stating that he believes in the trickle-down effect.
Once-famed Denver Broncos quarterback, John Elway, has come outright and introduced Mitt Romney as the next U.S. president.
Scott Baio, an actor on Happy Days, has endorsed Romney and supported him through thousands of campaign dollars. And to think, I used to love him in “Charles In Charge.” *scoffs*
Donald Trump is probably one of Mitt Romney’s most notable endorsers, and a loud voice in the whole “Birther movement.” Somebody must know that “The Apprentice” has fallen all the way off. Could Trump make a B-line into politics? For the sake of humanity, let’s hope not.
