President Barack Obama used two words to describe his performance at last week’s debate against Mitt Romney: “too polite.”

The president called into the Tom Joyner Morning Show Wednesday to assess how he did against his Republican challenger and why he didn’t go on the “attack” as some of his supporters would have preferred. The call-in lasted about eight minutes and Obama said that everyone will see “a  little more activity” at the second debate next Tuesday.

The Obama this time around isn’t the Obama who ran for pres back in 08. That drive isn’t there. A part of me feels like this is his way of bowing out w/o letting down the people who supported him. The last 4 yrs have been extremely hard on him and his family I am sure whether he wins or looses he will be relieved.

I have been thinking the same thing his detractors have been relentless with their attacks on him (the birther thing, the uncompromising Congress, and just the blatant disrespect) and I know it has got to bother him. He is smart and talented man. Win or lose, he will land on his feet.

        Agree

Were you this sympathetic toward any of the past presidents?

I definitely feel Obama was too much of a gentleman. Sometimes you can’t play fair. Obama is going to have to come out swinging at the next two debates, because his lackluster performance at the first really hurt his standings in the polls.

I think he is going to come out swinging in these next two debates. Guess he didn’t want to come out at full strength only to be winded in the end. He seems to have lost his hunger for the presidency. Hope he can turn it around.

Off topic…I am ready to see this VP debate…

Surely you don’t think these debates really sway people do you? Its all media hype to garner viewership. Watch, during the second debate the narrative will be that Obama “redeemed himself” and the ‘polls’ will reflect his resurgence. Then when the third debate comes it will be a draw setting the stage for a tight election.

The script has already been written.

Exactly….i was wondering…by whose standards are we judging that Romney won the first round????? CNN’s??? American media is full of isht, so I’m not buying any of it.
